Hulk Hogan’s Official Cause Of Death Also Reveals Cancer History

Official documents have revealed that Hulk Hogan died of a heart attack and had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).

Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24th at the age of 71. Emergency services were called to Hogan’s home in Florida after a reported cardiac arrest, and the WWE Hall of Famer was pronounced dead at the scene.

It has now been reported in Page Six that Hogan died from an acute myocardial infarction, better known as a heart attack, according to the cremation summary approval report the outlet obtained from Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. The documents seen by Page Six also revealed that Hogan has a history of atrial fibrillation, which is a heart condition causing an irregular and often rapid heart rate.

Additionally, the star’s records show that Hogan had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. According to the Mayo Clinic, the cancer “causes changes (mutations) in the DNA of blood-producing cells,” leading to the production of abnormal lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that would normally help fight infections. The abnormal blood cells are not only ineffective but can also accumulate in the blood and certain organs, causing complications.

In the wake of his passing, stars from around the world paid tribute to Hulk Hogan. The tributes included Ric Flair, who believes no one will ever compare to the Hulkster, while Triple H credited him as the “archetype of what it meant to be a ‘superstar.’
