Former WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Kayden Carter has reportedly inked a deal with AEW.
Fightful Select reported that after Kayden Carter appeared on the Title Tuesday episode of Dynamite on October 7, she signed a deal with the company, although she hasn’t wrestled for the company since her debut match.
However, Carter, who currently wrestles under the name Lacey Lane, did wrestle two matches for Ring of Honor prior to her Dynamite debut, in a dark match on September 9 against Lena Kross, and the other match was on the September 25 episode of ROH on HonorClub, where she faced Mina Shirakawa for the ROH Interim Women’s World TV Title in a losing effort.
When Was Kayden Carter Released By WWE?
Kayden Carter was released by WWE on May 2, along with her tag partner, Katana Chance, as part of a wave of post-WrestleMania releases the company made that included the likes of Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Dakota Kai, and numerous NXT talent.
Carter returned to the ring in August after her 90-day non-compete clause was up.
