How Many Times Did Barry Darsow Win The WWF Tag Team Title?
Barry Darsow captured the WWF Tag Team Championship on three separate occasions as part of Demolition, working as Smash and teaming with Ax. They first captured the belts at WrestleMania IV, defeating Strike Force’s Tito Santana and Rick Martel. They then held the title for 478 days before losing it to Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18, 1989, but would win it back on the October 2, 1989 episode of Superstars before dropping it to Andre the Giant and Haku on the December 13 episode.
Demolition would once again capture the belts at a WrestleMania, this time at WrestleMania VI, and they would then be joined by Crush in June of 1990, meaning any two members of the faction could defend the title under the Freebird Rule.
