Drew McIntyre Addresses SummerSlam Status After Being Stranded In The UK

Drew McIntyre has updated fans on his WWE SummerSlam status following passport issues that left him stranded in the UK.

Drew McIntyre posted on his Twitter account last night to update fans on whether he’ll make it back to the U.S. in time for SummerSlam or not, and said that his issues are now resolved and he will be available to team with Logan Paul to face the team of Randy Orton and Jelly Roll.

In the video, McIntyre took aim at anyone who messaged him about his situation of being stuck in the UK, as only looking for information to leak, he then called out The Miz for offering to take his spot in the SummerSlam match before Logan Paul entered the frame to answer Miz’s request by saying:

“Hell no, I’m not gonna team with The Miz, I’ve got a Scottish warrior, stupid.”

McIntyre then said that he knows Jelly Roll was behind getting him stuck in the UK, but that Paul has more powerful friends than he and helped him resolve his passport issues and got him on a private jet back to the US and that:

“Come Saturday, you and Randy Orton are screwed.”

What Passport Issues Did Drew McIntyre Have?

While many believe that the reported passport issues Drew McIntyre had were fictional and part of a storyline, it was reported that they were, in fact, real, and he genuinely was unable to board his flight back to the US after attending a friend’s wedding last weekend.

The issue was that McIntyre had only brought his UK passport with him when he travelled to England and didn’t bring his U.S passport, so he was denied entry onto the flight back to the States. McIntyre was travelling with his wife, and she had to board the flight without him as she needed to get home to attend to their sick cat.
