The Miz Wants To Replace Drew McIntyre As The SummerSlam Card Is Finalised

The Miz has expressed his desire to be the replacement for Drew McIntyre in his upcoming SummerSlam match, and the card for both nights of SummerSlam has been finalised.

The Miz took to Instagram yesterday to state that, due to Drew McIntyre’s SummerSlam status being up in the air because he is currently stranded in the UK due to passport issues, he would like to be the replacement for the Scottish star in the tag match where he is supposed to be teaming with Logan Paul to face Jelly Roll and Randy Orton.

Miz cut a promo on Instagram and said that he was the one who brought Logan Paul into the WWE, because he teamed with Paul at WrestleMania 38 in what was Paul’s first-ever pro wrestling match. Miz also reminded everyone that he had defeated Randy Orton to win his first WWE Championship and that he would beat Orton again if he took part in the tag match.

There is currently no official announcement from WWE on McIntyre’s status for SummerSlam, and they have previously said that they are confident he would be able to make it back in time for the show.

Besides The Miz Possibly Replacing Drew McIntyre, What Does The Finalised Card Look Like For SummerSlam?

WWE put the finishing touches on the night 1 and 2 cards for SummerSlam by adding a stipulation to the Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross match where if Zayn loses, he must say “Kross told the truth” about him, and if Kross loses, he must say “I was wrong” about Zayn.

It was also confirmed which night the Six-Pack TLC Tag Team Championship TLC Match will take place on, with the match scheduled for Sunday night.

Here’s what the card looks like:

Night 1 (Saturday, August 2):

  • Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the Women’s Tag Team Championship
  • Gunther (c) vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title
  • Randy Orton and Jelly Roll vs. Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul
  • Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed
  • Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship
  • Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross

Night 2 (Sunday, August 3):

  • Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Title
  • John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship
  • Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu in a Steel Cage for the United States Title
  • Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria in a No DQ Match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and if Valkyria loses, she cannot challenge for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship again while Lynch is champion
  • Naomi (c) vs. IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley in a Triple Threat Match for the Women’s World Title
  • The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy) (c) vs. Andrade and Rey Fenix vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) in a Six-Pack TLC Match for the Tag Team Championship
