Drew McIntyre Denied Flight Back To The United States, Will Potentially Miss SummerSlam

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has stated that he was denied a flight back to the United States and is currently stuck in England after attending a wedding, and he believes there is a “good chance” he will miss SummerSlam.

Drew McIntyre posted a video on his Twitter account yesterday evening, sharing his story about how, after attending a friend’s wedding, he and his wife went to the airport to catch their flight back to America. However, when he attempted to board the plane, McIntyre was denied entry, despite claiming to have all the proper documentation and having resided there for several years.

McIntyre currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

McIntyre said that due to his and his wife having an ill cat at home in America, his wife had to board the flight home without him so that she could tend to their sick pet.

Is The Whole Drew McIntyre Stuck In The UK Story Part Of WWE’s Plans?

Despite some believing this could be part of a storyline, PWInsider has reported that this is a “legitimate issue” that WWE is facing and there are concerns the Scottish Superstar won’t make it back in time for his scheduled tag match at SummerSlam, where is supposed to be teaming with Logan Paul to take on Randy Orton and Jelly Roll. McIntyre last competed earlier this month, taking on Randy Orton at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12.

Why people believe this may be a work is that at the end of McIntyre’s video, he blames not being able to get back into the U.S. on Jelly Roll, saying that the rapper may have used some connections to get McIntyre’s entry back into the country blocked.
