A couple have been arrested on murder charges following the recent death of WWE developmental talent Kevin Nikel.
Back in July, it was reported that Kevin Nikel, known in the ring as Knuckles Madsen, had been shot in the abdomen in Benton County, Arkansas, and he sadly died after being transported to the hospital.
Now, it has been reported that on November 17, the U.S. Marshals arrested two suspects, Michael Hogue and Amanda Perry, and Hogue has been charged with first-degree murder, while Perry has been charged as an accomplice to first-degree murder; they also both face firearm-related charges.
Nikel’s mother, Susan Kinderman, spoke about her son’s death and his relationship to the accused and said that Perry was Nikel’s ex-wife, and Hogue was her romantic partner. Nikel and Perry had separated after being married for ten years and had only finalised their divorce just days prior to Nikel’s fatal shooting.
When Was Kevin Nikel Part Of WWE?
Kevin Nikel joined WWE in 2012 and worked in the developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling, before joining NXT and working a number of house shows for them between 2012 and 2013. He made his TV debut in 2013, debuting on the May 29 episode of NXT, competing in a NXT Championship number one contender Battle Royal, which was won by Bo Dallas.
Nikel was released by WWE in 2013, and he returned to the independent circuit, working primarily in Memphis and Texas.
