Cody Rhodes To Retire When His Next WWE Contract Ends

Cody Rhodes has spoken about his future in wrestling and said that when his next WWE contract is up, he plans to retire.
Speaking on an episode of “ALL THE SMOKE: Unplugged“, Cody Rhodes discussed a variety of topics from his family life and the world of wrestling. When asked about his plans for retirement, Rhodes dropped a bombshell and said:
“The next contract I sign with WWE is probably going to be my last, and finish my days with WWE.”
Rhodes signed his most recent deal back in 2022 when he rejoined the company after leaving AEW. It is unknown how long Cody signed on for, but recently, Chelsea Green signed a new contract with the company for five years, so if that’s anything to go on, then his current deal could run out in 2027, and his final contract could see him wrestle until 2032, at which point Cody will be 47 years old.

Cody Rhodes is in his second run as the Undisputed WWE Champion, having recaptured the title from John Cena on night two of SummerSlam. He’s held the title for 87 days so far, and his previous run, which started on night two of WrestleMania 40 when he beat Roman Reigns, lasted for 378 days.
