Chavo Guerrero Jr. Appears To Have Rejoined WWE
By Conor Renshaw on 7 July 2025
Wrestling legend Chavo Guerrero Jr. has reportedly told those close to him that he has re-signed with WWE.
According to a report by Fightful Select, Chavo Guerrero has reportedly informed sources that he is back with WWE in an official capacity. However, the report also notes that WWE has yet to confirm Chavo’s return to the company.
Chavo was last seen in WWE in 2011 when he was released at his request after spending 10 years with the company and winning the Cruiserweight Title 4 times, the Tag Team Championship 2 times, and also claiming the ECW World Title once, although he was never considered a real world champion calibre wrestler by WWE, as he lost the ECW title to Kane at WrestleMania 24 in just 11 seconds!
Following his departure in 2011, he returned to the independent circuit before joining TNA in 2012 and left the following year. He worked in Lucha Underground for 5 years, after joining in 2014, and then returned to TNA for a brief stint in 2019 before joining AEW in 2021 and leaving in 2022.
Chavo has also been busy with his career in the film industry, serving as a wrestling coordinator on the Netflix show GLOW, and he also worked as the wrestling coordinator on Young Rock.
What Will Chavo Guerrero’s Role Be In WWE If He Is Back With The Company?
If Chavo has rejoined the WWE, it is unlikely that they will want him back in the ring despite him still wrestling sporadically, with his last match having taken place just 2 days ago on July 5. It would make sense that he would instead serve as a producer or a coach, given his wealth of knowledge in the business.
What do you think Chavo Guerrero will do if he is actually back with WWE? Could he have one more run? And if so, how would you book Chavo’s final go-around?
