Big E Addresses His Future In Wrestling
By Conor Renshaw on 28 October 2025
Former WWE Champion Big E has spoken about how he feels about his future inside a pro wrestling ring.
Speaking to Stephanie McMahon on an episode of What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon, Big E spoke about his neck injury in 2022 that saw him fracture his C1 and C6 vertebrae and how he feels about the idea of him ever wrestling again. He said that he believes his career is behind him, and that he is appreciative of the career he’s had and that he is proud of what he has accomplished.
His injury occurred on the March 11, 2022, episode of SmackDown, where he was teaming up with Kofi Kingston to take on Ridge Holland and Sheamus. During the match, he and Holland had an exchange on the outside of the ring that ended with Holland delivering a belly-to-back suplex. However, the former WWE Champion didn’t rotate all the way over and landed on top of his head, causing the vertebrae fractures.
What Is Big E Doing With WWE Now?
Big E still appears on WWE programming, despite his wrestling career being behind him. He is a regular panellist on the company’s pay-per-views and other premium live events.
