Another WWE Star Announces Departure After WrestleMania 42

Carlee Bright has confirmed her WWE departure, revealing the news on social media just days after WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Bright, whose real name is Kennedy Cummins, shared the update shortly before appearing on Season 3 of WWE LFG, noting that her time with the company had already come to an end.
“What you won’t see… is that just two days ago, my time with WWE has officially come to an end,” she wrote.
Her release was not included in the initial wave of reported roster cuts, which featured names such as Kairi Sane, Aleister Black, and Zelina Vega.
Bright signed with WWE following SummerSlam tryouts in 2022 and began training at the Performance Center later that year. She debuted on NXT Level Up in January 2024 before moving to the main NXT programme.
Reflecting on her release, Bright admitted the ending was not what she had expected, but said the experience had strengthened her.
“This wasn’t how I imagined this chapter ending,” she wrote. “But it taught me how to fight through uncertainty.”
Bright’s final WWE match took place on the February 4 episode of EVOLVE, where she had been a regular performer in recent months while also filming for WWE LFG.
Despite her release, she will still appear throughout the latest season of the series, which features Kevin Owens as a coach alongside Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Natalya.
Bright is one of several names connected to the show affected by recent cuts, but she made it clear her wrestling journey is not over.
“This chapter may be closing, but my story is far from finished,” she wrote.
