AJ Styles Teased For TNA Slammiversary

After over a decade away, AJ Styles could be set for an appearance at TNA Slammiversary.

AJ Styles was part of TNA’s first show back in 2002 and quickly became one of the most popular stars in the promotion. The Phenomenal One was an integral part of the promotion for 12 years, not only becoming a multi-time NWA and TNA World Heavyweight Champion but also making a huge mark on the X-Division, where he was the inaugural champion, going on to win the title six times.

Styles made his surprise departure from TNA in 2014 after contract negotiations between the two sides broke down, and the star has not been seen in the Impact Zone since. Instead, Styles had a stint in NJPW and ROH before signing with WWE in 2016.

When WWE announced an official partnership with TNA in January, many fans began speculating that they could finally see Styles return to the promotion that made him famous. Now it appears that this could happen soon.

Is AJ Styles Heading Back To TNA?

On July 15th, Anthem Sports Group President Carlos Silva posted a cryptic comment on social media, claiming that the 2025 edition of Slammiversary, which takes place this Sunday, will be TNA’s “greatest achievement” and made a point to say it’s going to be “PHENOMENAL,” a clear hint at Styles’ homecoming.

“We’re moving the stage back to accommodate more fans. This event will be TNA’s greatest achievement and trust me it’s going to be PHENOMENAL.”
