AAA’s Octagon Jr. Signs With WWE
By Conor Renshaw on 30 June 2025
Looks like WWE isn’t slowing down when it comes to scooping up talent from AAA, and the latest name joining the roster is none other than Octagon Jr.
According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Octagon Jr. has signed a deal with WWE and is currently wrapping up his final indie and AAA commitments. Hay’s report states Octagon is letting people know that once those bookings are done, he’s WWE-bound, and won’t be taking any more indie dates from here on out.
This move didn’t come out of nowhere. Octagon Jr. already popped up on WWE’s radar after appearing on the WWE x AAA: Worlds Collide event, where he opened the show in a six-man tag team match. Not only did he get the win, but he also clashed with none other than Dominik Mysterio in a post-match confrontation. That scuffle set the stage for a title match at Money in the Bank.
He’s not alone, either. WWE’s been busy signing up AAA’s top shelf lately. Psycho Clown is also reported to have recently signed, and names like El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., El Hijo del Vikingo, La Parka, La Hiedra, Lady Flammer, Lady Maravilla, and Niño Hamburguesa are all rumoured to be on the books too.
Octagon Jr. has been with AAA since 2018 and has also previously worked for TNA. He’s picked up the AAA World Trios Title and the AAA Latin American Championship during his time with the Mexican promotion.
What’s next for Octagon Jr.?
So here’s the big question: Is this a good move for Octagon Jr. and AAA as a whole? Will WWE actually use this talent well, or will they get lost in the shuffle?
Let us know below what you think of AAA and WWE’s ongoing relationship following their acquisition.
