TNA Impact Review – November 5, 2026

By Scott Herrin on 6 November 2026

Okay, I am quite ill but I will not breathe on the keyboard. I will breath some life into this week episode of Impact Wrestling. Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt have the play-by-play, McKenzie Mitchell will let us know who is who in the ring via ring announcing. We are still in Dothan, Alabama as we make our way to Destination X (hopefully, we can stop at a convenience store for some Day/Ny Quil.) So, grab some tissues and get ready for some Total Nonstop Analysis? Shall We? Achoo (blows nose,) we shall.

(Note: Even as sick as I feel, I still want to give credit to those who contribute to this sight with reviews and articles. It is great work they do and they deserve a lot of respect and recognition. Take time to read and appreciate what they do. And now….our feature presentation.)

Previously on Impact –  I think Jeff Hardy died. He got put in a trashcan and attacked with an axe. That would generally do it (the singing of Amazing Grace kind of sealed it.) Will they be the same after the Slaughterhouse SyX? Who knows? We also get the announcement of the main event this week as Nic and Ryan Nemeth will face Amazing Red and Leon Slater.

The lead singer of the theme is ready for me; really, I am going to sit this one out. I don’t think you want my germs – it’ll ruin the voice.

We go straight to ringside and Moose makes his way to the ring as the fans chant along to his theme. Hannifan and Rehwoldt talk about Moose’s last appearance but pivot to the Hardys situation. Moose had a conversation with Matt Hardy and had him thinking. Hardy said Moose has not been himself lately. Although he didn’t like that guy, Moose needs to go back to the way he was. He now understands what is next. The fans have followed him his whole career. They watched make TNA what it is. They are as close as his family. If you get lucky to put him down, pray that he doesn’t get back up because if he does, payback is a female dog. He is a petty, petty SOB and will get you worse than you got him.

He turned to SyX and said they are the unluckiest people in the locker room because he is laser focused on them and their glutes are next. Don’t think he forgot he was the first person they laid out. SyX said TNA is a disease and calling his home a cancer. That means he is a disease – the cancer – because he is face of the franchise. He called out Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer to get their female dog glutes out here. No words are needed because he is going to whip their glutes.

Lo and behold, here comes SyX (we get a fairly bright “firefly” display from the fans’ phones.) Eventually Sawyer and Shaw emerge from the backstage. Moose beckons them to ringside. They make their way into the ring. Moose tried to fend them off but succumbed to the numbers game. However, Matt Hardy’s music played he gradually made it to the ring with a lead pipe to chase out SyX and help Moose to his feet. SyX bailed to the floor and then headed up the rampway.

We immediately head to a backstage interview with Red and Slater. Red said he fells better than ever and wanted to thank TNA for being a Hall-of-Famer. What better way to thank thanks then bringing the non-stop action as a X-Division champion. He wouldn’t want anyone next to him more than Slater.

Slater thanked Red for being what the X-Division is all about as for being the blueprint for the division. It’s an honor to team with him versus the Nemeths. Everyone is talking about the legendary battle between he and Nic at Bound For Glory and now they are about to have another one. As far as Ryan goes, he better be ready to……

Suddenly, Trey Miguel walks into the shot. He shakes hands with Red and Slater. Miguel said he wanted to face Slater and vice versa, but why not tonight? Slater he would but first the Nemeths. Miguel said he was glad Slater heeded his advice. Slater said he has mothering else to say but he is looking forward to the match at Destination X. Miguel said if he has anything else to say,, he will be out to watch the tag match on commentary.

We get the rundown of the card and we get a tag team debut…after the break.

We come back to hype for Destination X and the main event between Slater vs. Miguel. We also get an ad for IAMALS.com/Rebel and a tribute to Rebel which gets a good round of applause.

We see Daria Rae being followed by Brian Johnson. Rae asked why is he following her and he responded that is literally his job by the board. Indi Hartwell walked into the shot to make Rae even more cantankerous. She asked who her friend is and Johnson tried to introduce himself but Rae drops her catchphrase and for Hartwell to not worry about him.

Hartwell reminded Rae of the time she slapped Haetwell. Rae reminded her of the time Apex (Zoey Serrano and Shayna Baszler) left Hartwell lying in the ring and that Hartwell has a match with Baszler AT Destination X. Hartwell called Apex Rae’s goons and wished she was facing Rae at Destination X.  Hartwell said that would never happen because Rae is week, miserable and insecure witch. Rae stepped to her but Johnson had to restrain her (Hartwell called him “Brad.”) He reminded her that if the board finds any physicality, she would be suspended again. Rae was frustrated but we go back to ringside for more action.

Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles vs. Hunter James and Alexander Lev

We also have a guest at the announce table – Mustafa Ali.  Ali continued his spiel from last week on why Kazarian is trusting Styles. Hannifan went over the relationship history of the Styles (father and son) and Kazarian.  Kazarian and Styles make their way to ringside. Jame s and Lev get the “already in the ring” treatment.

James started the match by booting Styles and mauling him on the ropes. Ali asked Hannifan how much we know about Avery (well, the internet is here to help.) Styles hit a dropkick off the ropes and tagged Kazarian and the two hit a gut punch/rolling neckbreaker off the ropes. Jame stagged Lev and was immediately subjected to a series of hiptosses .

Styles tagged back into the march and it a sliding forearm smash. Lev pushed Styles into the corner and into a James’ knee smash as the referee was distracted by Kazarian. Styles slugged James  but Lev dropped styles with a clothesline. Lev mauled Styles in the corner and tagged James.

James continued the corner mauling. James tagged Lev and put Styles into the Tree of Woe. Lev beat on Styles in the corner. Lev distracted the referee and James took time to choke Styles on the floor. Lev hit a sliding dropkick for a two count. Lev chopped away on Styles. James tagged and the two hit a back breaker and top rope axe handle combination for two count.

James locked a chinlock but Styles fought out of it with a series of forearms. James ran Styles into the corner and tagged Lev. Lev whipped James into Styles but Styles evaded it and rolled under Lev for the hot tag with Kazarian. Kazarian dropped both James and Kev with forearms and double thrusts. He hit the rope-assisted guillotine leg drop on James on the apron and slammed Lev. Kazarian followed it with a slingshot leaping legdrop for two-and-a-fraction. Styles tagged and the two hit a Hi-Lo Legsweep flying forearm (Styles mis-timed it slightly.) Styles dragged Lev into place and hit the Spiral Tap for the victory.

Post-Match: Styles sold a leg injury after the double team and came up limping, However, the two celebrated in the ring until Ali emerged from the announce table and wanted to talk to Kazarian. He said for Kazarian not to raise his hand as he is not an idiot like these fans here or Avery’s dad.  He got on the apron but Kazarian slugged him to the floor. NOW, Kazarian and Styles raised their hands in victory as Ali looked derisively at them.

We go backstage with The System’s Brain Myers and Cedric Alexander as Alisha Edwards entered the shot and admonished them or being on their phones like nothing is going to happen. Alisha said Eddie Edwards and Bear Bronson are going to murder each other and they are going to do nothing. Alexander said they’re going to fight – that’s what guys do. Myers said it’s for the System’s best interest and survival if they let them do that. The three of them will stay back here whilst it happens with no one at ringside. Alexander said she may hate this but it is what it is. And, what it is – is after the break.

We do comeback for more Destination X hype for your Destination X dollar.

Eddie Edwards vs. Bear Bronson

Bronson is first as we get the warning buzzer and Alisha Edwards telling us that we can’t beat the system. Edwards is next and started jawing with Bronson as he headed to the ring. If Bronson wins, Bronson calls the shots; if Edwards wins, Bronson falls in line with the other System components.

The two started to jaw as accusations flew about what ha happened recently with the System. The two locked up and Bronson flung Edwards to the ropes and further taunting him. The two traded shoulderblocks but Bronson got the better of it. Bronson also charged Edwards in the corner with a body splash and chopped away on Edwards. Bronson tried another one but Edwards chased him with a clothesline. However, Bronson got behind Edwards and suplexes  him.

Bronson mauled Edwards in the corner, still berating and taunting Edwards. Bronson met a charging Edwards with a back elbow and climbed the turnbuckles but was met with a leaping kick. Edwards scaled the turnbuckles and sent Bronson to the mat with a hurincanrana. He started to attack Bronson in the corner with a  forearm smash. However, Edwards attempted a sunset flip but Bronson butt splashed him for a two count.

The corner mauling continued by Bronson. Bronson looked to the rampway which gave Edwards time to recover and chop away at Bronson. Bronson no sold it and dropped Edwards. A loud “let’s go Eddie/Eddie sucks” dueling chant emerged as Bronson threw Edwards hard into the turnbuckle. Bronson threw Edwards into the ropes but Edwards reversed a back body drop into a neckbreaker.

Edwards arose and attempted to suplex Bronson. Edwards headbutted Bronson and the two traded back elbows and body splashes off the ropes. NOW, we get the vertical suplex from Edwards as a loud “Eddie” chant emerged. Edwards tried to climb the turnbuckles but Bronson met him there and pushed him to the floor. Bronson went to the floor but Edwards ducked a chop and Edwards hit one of his own. However, Bronson overpowered Edwards and threw him into the ring steps.

Bronson threw Edwards into the ring and hit a senton for a two count. Bronson cinched a chinlock as Rehwoldt mused on what the System would look like with Bronson in control. Edwards fought out of the hold and blocked a series of Bronson shots into a forearm and lifted Bronson onto his shoulders to drop him to the mat.

Both men writhed on the floor but gradually arose. Edwards charged Bronson but Bronson backdropped him over the ropes and to the floor. Bronson thit the topes and dove between the ropes to drop Edwards, Bronson threw Edwards into the ring and gloated but Edwards recovered and reciprocated the dive between the ropes. Edwards measured Bronson and charged Bronson but Bronson caught him and hit the Black Hole Slam on the rampway.

The referee started the count and both combatants dove into the ring just before the “10” count. The two went chin-to-chin and traced punches with neither man falling. Bronson hit a series of forearms that did drop Edwards to his knees. Edwards hit a superkick which Bronson no sold as Bronson hit a Chokebomb for a two count. Bronson looked incredulous but continued his attack, putting Edwards on the turnbuckles. Bronson climbed the turnbuckles and attempted a superplex as the crowd chanted they wanted tables (well, go down to the local furniture and get some, then.) Edwards fended off Bronson and hit a Sunset Flip Bomb to send Bronson to the canvas. Edwards attempted the Boston Knee Party (shining wizard) but Bronson clotheslined him. Bronson tried to charge Edwards and was met with a clothesline. NOW, we get the Boston Knee Party for the victory as Edwards reclaimed his role as the lead component of the System.

Post-Match: Edwards slowly made his to his feet as now the rest of the System made its way to ringside. Myers and Alexander helped Edwards to his feet. Edwards and Bronson started to talk, shook hands and hugged. Edwards sold a leg injury but Bronson raised Edwards’ hand in victory.

Speaking of selling injuries here is the TNA Injury Report brought to you by Stranglehold. Jeff Hardy is out indefinitely from severe head trauma and no time table for return. Avery Styles suffered an ankle injury but is in evaluation. BDE is out as is myriad security personnel due to the match/attack last week from Agent Zero. BDE has an injured neck.

We get an ad for a Hardy Party at the Speaking Rock Casino in El Paso, Texas (they best get to rehabbing then.) We also get some hype for Knockouts Tag Team Action…after the break.

We get Destination X hype brought to you by I Heart Radio.

We go back to Johnson typing something on his phone as Rae came into the shot and asked what was he doing. Johnson said he was documenting what happened earlier and Rae said there was nothing to report. Johnson agreed – because he stopped it. Rae said it would just be bombarding the board with spam email.

Johnson agreed it was a good point but focused on Santino Marella, who entered the shot. He shook hands with Marella to Rae’s disgust. Marella made some jokes at Rae (and Johnson’s) expense but Johnson reiterated he fully capable of dong the job. Marella agreed and hopes everyone behaved. He patted Johnson on the head and walked off the shot. Johnson was agitated and Rae said Marella was very rude and Marella doesn’t respect him. She walked off the shot and Johnson continued to be agitated.

Fire n’ Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) vs. Shotzi Blackheart and Allie

The two strutted down to the ringside, rapping the lyrics. The two posed on the apron and on the turnbuckles. Allie is next with the rabbit mask and shook hands with the crowd. Blackheart was next (odd to see her without the mini-tank, I have to say.) Hannifin said it’s the first time in seven years Blackheart will compete in TNA Impact. The crowd howled with Blackheart as she howled on the turnbuckles.

Blackheart and Steelz started with a loud “Shotzi” chant emerged. The two shoved and slapped each other. The two traded shots as Blackehart got a cradle from an armdrag off the ropes. Steelz took Blackheart down with a headscissors btu Blackheart responded with an enziguri out of the corner. Blackheart hit the ropes and hit the 619, Blackheart booted Steelz and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Steelz evaded the leap but Blackheart rolled through it and dropped Steelz with a forearm (not the cleanest of moves but we continue.)

Blackheart got Steelz on her shoulders but Steelz escaped and tagged Hogan. Allie wanted the tag and got it. She started to loudly jaw with Hogan, saying she was supposed to be her friend. Hogan pleaded her case but attacked Allie. Allie evaded it and hit the Thesz Press off the ropes. She hit a sliding forearm in the corner for a two count. Allie tried to attack Hogan on the ropes but Hogan tripped her. Steelz grabbed Allie’s arms as Hogan hit the ropes and connected with the Rear View. Hogan put the boots to her  and ran her into the turnbuckles. Steelz tagged and  got a two count from a snapmare.

Bogan tagged back into the match and beat on Allie until Allie hit the ropes and nailed a spear. Blackheart got the hot tag and dropped both Fire and Flava with clotheslines and elbow strikes. Black dropped Steelz into the corner with a superkick and then suplex Hogan onto her. Shotzi then hit a cannonball onto the team. Both members hit the floor as Blackheart hit the ropes and dover under the ropes and reopped both of her opponents.

Blackheart threw Steelz into the ring and got a two count but Hogan grabbed Blackheart’s legs and dragged her to the floor. Hogan legally tagged and threw back into the ring Hogan attacked Allie and Allie tried to retaliate, thereby distracting the referee. Hogan hit a step up legdrop and Steelz hit a top rope splash (cue Maffew’s “Close enough” drop.) Hogan got a two count until Allie interrupted the pin. Allie got Hogan on her shoulders and hit a running Death Valley Driver. Meanwhile, Blackheart and Steelz charged each other and hit simultaneous running boots to drop each other. Hogan charged Blackheart but was met with a superkick. Allie grabbed Steelz and Blackheart grabbed Hogan into double Upside Downs on opposite ends of the ring.

Blackheart hit a missile dropkick on Hogan for a two count until Steelz interrupted the pin. Blackehart sent Steelz into Allie for a Code Breaker. Blackheart dragged Hogan into position and Blackheart climbed to the top rope. Blackheart hit the Senton from the top for triumphant return.

Post-Match: The duo celebrated but Steelz attacked and Hogan joined her to maul the faces in the corner. Hogan and Steelz celebrated the attack and posed in the ring. Hogan said everyone was put on notice (duly noted.)

We go backstage to see Mila Moore getting ready in front of a mirror as John Skyler walked into the frame. He said he talked to Marella and said he did not grant his request but….Moore said they needed to talk. Moore wanted to break up with him. Skyler seemed incredulous and Moore continued. Moore said she appreciated all the times Skyler stood up for her but he’s a loser???? Ummm…okay…..She thought he would stop being a loser and win a match or something but the more he lost, the more she felt embarrassed and ewww… She walked off the shot with Skyler calling for her. He sat on the chair and said he loved her (she, by the way, left her purse there.)

Hannifan talked about the heartbreak Skyler felt but gave us the rest of the card and an initiation into a faction..after the break.

Hey, Calgary, get ready for some Total Nonstop Action in December (no, not the Flames, the wrestling.) We go back to Skyler, who is beside himself. We see K C Navarro walk into the shot but he forgot his charger. He quickly left and Skyler full of melancholy.

Blew Chew Gold Rock Solid Moment of the Night is the Boston Knee Party by Edwards to seal the win against Bronson.

Awkward segue but here is the By Elegance Brand (M and Heather.) M wanted to apologize for the last few weeks. Mr. Elegance leaving the group during the match last week between M and Jada Stone opened her eyes. She wanted to make it up to her. Heather was part of the brand before M was and is her best friend; so, she went to the publicist (still unknown)  who got her on the cover of the magazine (also still unknown) and while it was sweet of them to do this for her. It wouldn’t be the same without Heather, so she arranged for both of them to be on the cover ..of (insert name)magazine.

M walked off the shot and Heather looked…perplexed? Happy? It was hard to tell. Elayna Black walked into the shot and asked Heather if she really believed M did that. Heather thought for a moment and said she sees what Black is trying to do – put a wedge between the two but it isn’t going to work as M is her best friend. She is going to go to Rae and ask for a match against Black so that Black will finally leave her alone. Black she will never leave them alone until she gets a title shot. If Heather can’t see what is happening, then maybe Black should beat some sense into her and left off shot. Heather continued to look perplexed??? Remorseful?? Determined???

The Initiation of Harley Hudson:

Back in the ring we get the chryon of the young lady telling us the Righteous are coming. And, sure enough, the slide guitar and snapping confirmed it. They are followed by Hudson adorned in white. All three stand in the middle of the ring. Vincent grabbed his floral wreath and handed it to Dutch. Vincent talked to Hudson and said she finally made it. He asked her to look how far she came; she was always looking for a place to belong and people to give a darn. And now, here she stood with them. It’s funny how things turn.

Vincent had a few questions for her. Is she ready to become Righteous? Hudson said yes. Is she ready to leave her old life behind? Again, yes. Is she ready to bloom into something greater? Yes. Vincent was happy and asked Dutch to make Hudson righteous. He just about did it when the music stopped.

Vincent said there was just one more thing. Since she made them wait; that’s okay. But, he wants to know if her heart truly lies with them. So, she needed to repeat these words. I am righteous (she said it.) We are many (again repeated.) they repeated the phrase and Vincent said while you were making up her mind, someone else already did. Hudson repeated it and realized what she said. Xia Brookside had snuck behind her in all white gear and dropped Hudson. Brookside grabbed Hudson and hit the Darkside (DDT.) Vincent said just like that, we sacrifice the mouse into the coils of the snake. Brookside posed and Vincent welcomed Brookside into the Righteous, dig what he was saying? Dutch put the wreath on Brookside and they left the ring and up the rampway with Hudson still laid out in the ring,

The main event is next…after the break.,

We get the latest in TNAPlus “Immersed” series with Black; We see her childhood home with multiple C M Punk stand up figures and a “Future Diva” sign. She talked briefly about her WWE career and how it ended. She went on OnlyFans and thought long and hard about what she wanted. She got back into wrestling and here she is.

We get a rundown of the rest of the events for the year (in Canada and in Texas) before we go to Matt Hardy. He said SyX crossed the line they can not return. They tried not to just beat or injure him but to kill him. Luckily, he is hard to kill. Matt will not forget or forgive what happened and they are in for a real Twist of Fate. However, Moose walked into the frame and wanted to say some things off his chest. SyX thinks they can come in and do whatever they want. However, there was a time that Moose was the evilest person in the locker room. That’s what you are dealing with now. They laid out someone who helped build this place. For that, their glutes are his. Matt agreed and made it official that at Destination X, it will be Moose and Matt Hardy versus SyX.

We get a rundown of next week’s action but for now, we have the main event:

Champions’ Challenge: Amazing Red and Leon Slater vs. The Nemeths (Nic and Ryan)

Red is first and the crowd gives him a good pop. He posed in the ring with his X-Division title. Slater is next to a sizable pop. He posed in the corner. As promised earlier, Miguel is at the announce table. Rehwoldt asked how Miguel is feeling. Miguel said he wanted to give Slater his flowers and said he deserves the title but he thinks he is ready for it, too. The Nemeths are next in matching Stranglehold shirts. They strut down to the ring with the tag titles as we strut to a commercial break.

When we return, Red and Nic started. Miguel talked about his title shot and what Slater’s mindset should be. In the ring, Nic backed Red into the corner and shoved him. Miguel talked about how Red was the one who got him to watch TNA Wrestling and is reliving his childhood. A Nemeth takedown got a two count and then grabbed a headlock. Nemeth tried to slug Red off a rope break but Red ducked it and grabbed an armlock. Slater tagged  and hit a double axe handle on Nic’s arm.

Slater continued to work on Nic’s arm. Slater continued to work the arm and whip Nic to the mat arm first. An eyerake stopped the momentum and tagged Ryan. Ryan hit a series of shoulder blocks in the corner and tagged Nic. Slater attacked Nic and hit the 10-punch turnbuckle spot. Red tagged and he got a 10-punch turnbuckle spot. Nic booted Red and eyeraked him and tagged Ryan back into the action. Ryan attacked Red until Red ducked another punch and hit a dropkick.

Nic tried to attack but Slater hit a running big boot to drop him. The Nemeths were draped on the ropes and the faces clotheslined them over the ropes to the floor. They hit the ropes to leap over them onto the Nemeths but the Nemeths made a beeline up the rampway. Luckily, the faces stopped short of leaping.

Nic just beat the count into the ring but immediately got back on the floor. The Nemeths stalled and ran around the ring.. They stopped to grab the tag titles and headed to the rampway. However, Red and Slater intercepted them and they beat them around the ring. Miguel  made fun the Nemeths as Rehwoldt took umbrage with it. Red and Slater ran the Nemeths’ heads into the ring steps. Nic staggered around the ring and fell into Hannifan’s lap. Rehwoldt asked Nemeth if he was okay. Red grabbed Nic and held him whilst Slater delivered a chop.

Slater threw Nic into steps again as Red threw Ryan into the ring. Ryan tried to escape but Red caught him and flung back into the ring. Red chopped Ryan in the corner. However, an eyerake stopped the offense and Ryan tagged Nic. Nic boot raked Red and started to taunt Slater on the apron. Nic ran Red’s face across the ropes as a “let’s go, Red” chant emerged. Hannifan, Rehwoldt and Miguel longed for the late Don West. Meanwhile, Red tried to rally but Nic kicked the leg out of Red’s leg to drop him and tagged Ryan.

Ryan continued to maul Red and applied a chinlock. Ryan got Red on his shoulders but Red escaped and rolled under Ryan’s legs to tag Slater, who was a flat on fire. He sent Nic out of the ring and repeatedly dropped Ryan with a series of running forearms. He got Ryan on his shoulders and hit the Utopia (Airplane Spin toss.) Slater climbed to the top but Nic grabbed Leon’s leg and yanked him into the turnbuckles. Slater stumbled around the ring and Ryan recovered enough to hit a leaping DDT for a two count,

Nic tagged and grabbed an eye rake and taunted Red on the apron. Ryan tagged. Ryan taunted Red and hit a shoulderblocks on Slater in the corner. Ryan grabbed a naked choke on Slater and then gyrated to the fans. However, Slater had enough to recover and hit a spin kick to drop Ryan. Red got the hot tag and was a bodega on fire. He dropped Nic with a missile dropkick and it a  series of enziguris to drop the Nemeths. The Nemeths tried to play the numbers game but Red fended off the corner charges of the Nemeths  and rolled over Nic to hit an enziguri on Ryan. Red followed it with a DDT on Nic for a two count.

Nic escaped a Code Red but Red tagged Slater. Slater climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit a cross bodyblock for a two count. Red tagged back into the match and Slater and Red attempted a double suplex until Ryan grabbed his brother. The brothers threw Slater into the ringpost and a back suplex/neckbreaker spot on Red for a two count. Red fended off a Danger Zone attempt and stopped Ryan from interfering. A superkick from Nemeth dropped Red but Slater hit a kick of his own to drop Nic. Ryan tried to charge and Slater threw him over the ropes to the floor. Slater threw Nic through the ropes to the floor.

On the floor, Ryan grabbed one of the tag team title belts. Slater remained focused on Nic, hitting a running forearm from the apron to the floor. Slater threw Nic into the ring and Red hit a flying bodypress for a two count until Ryan charged into Slater to interrupt the pin and on top of the referee. With all five writhing on the mat, Slater checked on the referee and  threw Ryan back to the floor. Slater got on the apron and leapt onto Ryan but Ryan slugged Slater with the belt. Slater crumpled to the floor. Nic tried for a superkick but Red avoided it and rolled up Nic. However, the referee was still incapacitated and no three count was applied.

Red went to check on the referee and focused back on Nic. A superkick dropped Nic. Red leapt onto Nic for another Code Red attempt but Nic caught him and backed into the ropes and into another Ryan belt shot. Red staggered along the ropes and NOW Nemeth hit the Danger Zone. The referee miraculously recovered and counted the three count as the Nemeths retained the tag titles.

Post-Match: The Nemeths celebrated in the ring as started to gyrate until a guitar strum startled them as Elijah made a beeline to the ring. He threw Ryan over the ropes to the floor and came close to hitting an “El Kabong” guitar shot on Nic before he bailed to the ring and headed up the rampway with his brother as we roll credits and we…..

ALMOST go off the air. We see Hudson outside on the phone with her mom. We get the phone exposition of Hudson repeating everything mom Hudson said, including her mom was right to say to not trust the Righteous. They sounded so convincing. She said she doesn’t know how she gets herself into theses situations.  Hudson said she hasn’t made any friends here (wait, what about Hartwell?)  No matter how hard she tried, it doesn’t feel like home. She wants to give it a few more weeks here and doesn’t want to go home yet. She hangs up the phone and sees a message on a production truck “come play with meee.” We hear haunting music like a (oh, boy) dollhouse and sure enough; she walks some more and comes across a dollhouse and asks where she is. Taryn Terrell welcomes her to our house – the Dollhouse. She grabbed a doll, as does Hudson and NOW we go off the air.

Impactful Discourse:

One: Let’s start with Hudson for a moment. This was the tale of two segments. The first segment with the Righteous was perfectly crafted. If you read the spoilers (and got the hint when Brookside had her meltdown a few weeks ago,) you knew what was coming. That was well crafted as Hudson played to her naivety perfectly when she realized what was happening.

Two: Now, let’s talk post credits. For someone who just had her whole belief system (and her head) rattled by the previous events, Hudson seemed pretty much together when she called her mom. That is someone who should be fraught with malaise and near inconsolable sadness. That was the first misstep. The second was the denouement of the angle. Somehow, we are to believe that outside the arena, a dollhouse is there with Taryn Terrell bringing back the Doll House faction. I was not a fan of the product and thought the group was subpar (the in ring work did not help.) I get TNA’s insistence on connecting to the past but is this the way to do it? It just seems like superfluous nostalgia when something far better could have emerged from this.

Three: I am curious how Brookside fits into the picture with the Righteous. Since the title loss, she seemed adrift (especially since her feud with Lei Ying Lee is on hold since Lee is ????) Vincent and Dutch were great on the mic in this segment, by this way. Any shortcomings of Brookside can be glossed by Vincent doing the mic work. I am curious how they craft Brookside’s promo since that was the one weak spot in her presentation.

Four: The real curious move was the Moore and Skyler angle. That was a lot of work to see it go that quickly. Additionally, the segment focused on their biggest weaknesses – mic and acting work. Moore never really had it but as the gracious friend she was passable; now, she seems like where she was when she was with Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford. That was not a great segment. Skyler did okay in his role but still could use more work.

Five: Side note, keep track of your chargers, Navarro. The man is trying to emote here.

Six: Styles did not look great in the ring. I thought it might be the angle of him being new but there were some spots that need to be cleaned. Luckily, Kazarian and (apparently now) Ali are there to help him and lead him through what he doesn’t know.

Seven: Fire N’ Flava are cromulent. And, that is about it. Good mic presences and personas but just kind of there in the ring. I am still not a fan of Blackheart but am willing to see what she can do to change my mind. Allie is the veritable good hand in all this.

Eight: I have mixed feelings on the development of the SyX vs. Hardy angle. Kudos to the writers for starting to bring other people into the angle as SyX did attack myriad people in the locker room, starting with Moose. Continuity should always be rewarded. Moose cut two great fired-up promos. However, Matt Hardy brought it down. He verbally collided with Moose when Moose was on a roll.

Nine: The match between the four is okay, it keeps things churning and might bring a six-man tag match if we can get Rowan/Redbeard back with Syx in a Six/Syx-man Tag match with the Hardys and Moose. You could do worse for a hoss match between Eric and Moose.

10: I am curious how they treat Johnson in his role and angle. Him being chastised and being used by Rae; only to be patronized by Marella was a curious angle. This could lead to some interesting angles and a way out of a tired and worn angle/premise (feuding GM’s.)

11: I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Bronson vs. Edwards match. It was slow and deliberate but intentionally given the participant’s styles. Bronson really is coming into his own. Some may balk at the conclusion with Edwards winning but as leaders go, storyline wise, it would be a better fit to see Edwards at the helm versus someone nicknamed a “berserker.”

12: Added bonus, a calm and rational segment with Alexander. That wasn’t so hard, was it? Indoor voice can work just as well; if not better.

13: The By Elegance Brand Angle is moving along decently well but undermined by two things. Heather’s emoting was strongly inconsistent and I could not figure what she was going. The second is the generic, as yet to be named, plot points of the publicist and the magazine, both of whom are nameless. It might be small things but they add up and in  promotion that has been sullied by these small things, they add up. M did fine and leading everyone along perfectly.

14: The main event was fine. The results were a given with who has what titles and what is coming for Destination X. Elijah is just there to keep things moving with Nic as they both seem adrift. Red still looks sharp given he has been doing this for this long.
