What the World Was Watching: WWF Superstars – July 20, 1991

Vince McMahon, Roddy Piper, and Randy Savage provide commentary for the last episode in the taping cycle in Sacramento, California.  Savage predicts that Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior will scream for mercy at SummerSlam.

What the World Was Watching: WWF Prime Time Wrestling – July 15, 1991

Jamison is lost and wanders backstage.  Bobby Heenan is upset that he is back there and tells him to get lost.  Jamison finds his way into Ted DiBiase’s locker room.  He finds the Million Dollar Belt and tries it on, posing in front of a mirror.  He cannot take it off, though, and that is where the show lead-in begins.

Sean Mooney and Heenan are the hosts.  As they start, a nervous Jamison, who is wearing a robe, sneaks into the studio and finds his usual seat.  It does not take long for an irate Sensational Sherri to run out and scream that someone has stolen the Million Dollar Belt.

What the World Was Watching: WWF Prime Time Wrestling – July 8, 1991

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan are tonight’s hosts.  This does not make Heenan happy as it is Monsoon’s first appearance on Prime Time since the format change after February 4.  Monsoon chides Heenan over his behavior on the show over the last few months, noting that viewers have been complaining.

Vince McMahon, Roddy Piper, and Randy Savage are in the booth for a new round of television tapings in Sacramento, California.  According to thehistoryofwwe.com, the tapings took place on June 17 and drew a crowd of 13,000 fans, 11,500 of whom paid to attend.

McMahon and Piper give words of encouragement to Savage to propose to Elizabeth on today’s program.

WWF Tag Team Champions the Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart come out.  Hart says that his guys can do whatever they want because they are champions.  They drag a fan out of the audience and give them the Pit Stop.  Jerry Sags shoves his exposed toes into the poor fan’s mouth too.
