Howdy!

It’s been a crazy few weeks and I’ve been incredibly lucky as a fan. I got to go see NWA Empowerrr in St. Louis and visit my folks, then the very next weekend myself and my wife took a drive to Chicago to see All Out. Awesome trips, awesome shows; on the way back from Chicago, we stopped at a diner in Dekalb called the French Toast Pancake House that was straight out of an episode of Supernatural. 

But what else could bring me back to reviewing than the battling ladies of Pro Wrestling EVE? While I was on the road, we got our first show in 18 months – WrestleQueendom 4, baby! It was the Joshi Boyz of the BoD and the first WrestleQueendom that brought me to this promotion, and I am ready for them to return!

So without further ado…..let’s watch some wrestling, shall we?

When last we left our heroines in EVE, WrestleQueendom III was in the books! The Medusa Complex managed to pick up the tag straps in the main event, while Rhia O’Reilly continued her reign as the EVE champion, with help from newest faction member Skye Smitson. Debut wins were had, returns were made, and JINNY WANTS DA BELT!

Ahem. Let’s get to the Resistance Gallery, shall we?

When last we left our heroines in Pro Wrestling EVE, the WrestleQueendom lineup had come into focus, with challengers for the EVE title and tag titles being finalized. There’s one week and one show left to go before the big event, and it’s this one, so let’s go home before Queendom!

When last we left our heroines in Pro Wrestling EVE, the SHE-1 finished up with Millie McKenzie becoming the new Ace of EVE and laying down a challenge for the tag team titles at WrestleQueendom 3 with partner Charli Evans! So that means that EVE champion Rhia O’Reilly is going to need a challenger for her crown – will we find out who it is tonight?

2 days. 4 shows. One Ace of EVE.

EVE’s SHE-1 tournament is held each year to determine the “Ace of EVE” – the winner will go on to challenge the champion of their choice at WrestleQueendom, EVE’s biggest show of the year. The wrestlers are divided by 4 into 3 Blocks of round robin competition, and the winners of each Block will meet on the final day to crown a winner.

There’s some really good wrestling on these shows, all. It’s SHE-1 time; let’s do this.

Tonight, we’ve going to crown new tag team champs here in the Resistance Gallery, as the mighty ass-kicking ladies of EVE are back! Also, for the first time since her retirement, Kris Wolf is back in the house, so I’m sure that will lead to a lot of tasteful storytelling. Tasty, tasty storytelling. Let’s go!

When last we left our heroines in Pro Wrestling EVE, little miss Roxxy had become the #1 Contender for Rhia O’Reilly’s EVE Championship! While Rhia was confident in her chances, an equalizer showed up in the form of Jayla Dark – like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon, she’s THIS close to her retirement, but she’s got one last job to do, and that’s make sure that O’Reilly doesn’t survive as the champ for much longer. With all that in mind, it’s a good night for a title match, so let’s return to the Resistance Gallery, shall we?

It’s our first EVE show since WrestleQueendom! I know that the whole ‘everything changes’ saying is severely overused, but in this case, it’s more than accurate.

Alright, before we start this thing…..

Fairest of warnings – this is a ‘review’ of the EVE Kris Wolf Retirement show. I want to stress up front that it is just tangentially a review of an actual wrestling show, since there’s very little traditional wrestling on it. Also, I swear a lot in this one to seem edgy and give out goofy match ratings because I really want people to accept me and my originality in prose when in reality I’m completely insecure about those things as it relates to my musings about pro wrestling.

Bottom line – you probably barely know this promotion, this is barely a wrestling show, and I think I’m funnier than I am which will probably make this whole thing tedious and a chore to sit through, but we all like Scott so get him that sweet ad revenue and hit that ‘read more’ button. Besides, you can slam me in the comments for the moments of your life that I’m sadly stripping away from you by pseudo-promising something that I probably won’t deliver on.
