WWE Evolve October 21st 2026

By Phrederic on 21 October 2026

WWE Evolve is here! Hello folks and welcome back to your favorite z-grade developmental show, as we’re full into the spooky season with a number of ghost matches tonight! We got Santi Rivera and Jacari Ball vs. Cappuccino Jones and Starboy Hall (yikes), Sloane Jacobs vs. Skylar Raye, and Aaron Rourke vs. Kale Dixon But first lets catchup with what exists in the greater WWE ecosystem. And of course if you want to check it out you can watch it here.

Impact – Smackdown – Triple A – Raw – NXT

We get a bit of a recap of Succession IV and boy it was a lot of heels standing tall.

Smoke! Flipping! Test tubs! Erlenmeyer flasks! It’s Evolve!

Cappuccino Jones and Chazz “Starboy” Hall vs. Mog Squad (Jacari Ball and Santi Rivera)

Background: So the Mog Squad have been beefing with the other ID guys for a while, but since 75% of this match hasn’t been renewed, I dunno if it really matters. But Capp and Chazz are small and quick, Santi and Jacari are big and bland.

The Match: Jacari takes Capp down with some gutwrenches and double-legs but Jones gets a rollup and then some wrist-control before bringing in in Chazz with an axehandle off the top as we’re doing some very classic rasslin’ babyface stuff here. And then Chazz gets a back handspring evasion, tries Sliced Break, Jacari blocks, but Hall gets a spinning headscissors…and Jacari just double-legs him for a cover anyway. Okay. Santi comes in now and gets a double-hip toss and tries an over-the-shoulder rack but Chazz armdrags out, gets a dropkick, and brings in Jones for some flashy double-teams (assisted moonsault, jumping splash) and a double-dropkick sends Jacari to the outside as both of the Squad powder…and Santi runs back in for a Frankensteiner and an armbar from the Denim Dragon…and then Hall tags in Jones but the ref misses it and a low-bridge by the squad sets up Chazz for an apron slam and some stomping as we go to a break. We’re back with the Squad working Chazz over in the corner with shoulder thrusts in concert and quick tags before Ball brings Chazz out of the corner with a belly-to-belly for a cover delayed suplex but Chazz knees out and then an elbow…but Jacari gets a leapfrog and then a dropkick brings Santi in and Hall gets bounced off Rivera’s boot and then Santi gets an armbar and then a wheelbarrow neckbreaker gets 2 for Santi. More slugging in the corner and ref Vicky D’Errico finally pulls Santi off…which lets Jacari cheat from the outside and then the Squad set up a poetry in motion. Santi with some rolling Karelin lift suplexes for 2.5. A chinlock next and Chazz fights out of it all-wobble legged but Ball double-legs him to the corner again and they try another Poetry in Motion but it whiffs and in comes Cappuccino! Jones a dropkick, a flying back elbow, a double noggin-knocker, a corner dropkick, a corner clothesline, a springboard crossbody on both of them! Michinoku Driver on Santi (that Blake Howard calls a Falcons Arrow that idiot) for 2.7. Cap goes up for the Froggy Brew Elbow but there’s no water in the pool and Jacari tags in for the Boneshamer (Codebreaker into a German Suplex) but Chazz breaks it up at 2.9. Chazz splits the double-team and with some fancy footwork and some acrobatics gets a double-Pele kick and the STRAPS ARE DOWN! A poetry in motion from Cap and Hall sends the Squad outside and Cap follows with a tope over a rope-hanging Starboy’s legs before Chazz gets a Sasuke Special. Alright, that was pretty slick. Anyway, the heels are dragged back into the drop zones and we get a stereo Froggy Brew/SSP for 3.

Y’know what. That was actually pretty dang good. Hall was definitely the star of the show here with that extended Ricky Morton sequence, but Cap did well and the Heels…were there.

Post-match we got Adriana Rizzo air-guitaring and says that Starboy is the “milk for Jones espresso” which…huh. Rizzo says they should be a team and both guys talk about coffee and humming and strumming to the top. And they are now The Star Brew.

And now backstage where Aaron Rourke talks about Kale Dixon and admits he doesn’t like him and this has been boiling for a while. Dixon cost Rourke in the elimination match and Rourke returned the favor and then Kale tried to injure him in a match. Rourke accuses Kale of COWARDICE and says that Rourke doesn’t need to hide behind anything or anyone. Tonight it’s gonna be Aaron’s ring and Kale isn’t making a name at his expense. Clock it!

Now a vignette for Elijah Holyfield where he’s talking about his pedigree, his family, he grew up fighting. And he’s ready to fight. We get some clips of Elijah beating people down and now Holyfield calls out Braxton Cole and Marcus Mathers. Cole’s a punk, Marcus is sticking his nose in business he doesn’t belong in, and it’s a triple-threat next week…but Elijah is the only threat.

Two totally fine promos! Nothing exemplary but short and to the point.

Skylar Raye vs. Sloane Jacobs

Background: Skylar is the peppy new babyface, very energetic, former cheerleader, all spunk and not a lot of uh…refinement. Sloane of course is Nikkita Lyons stooge and since Raye is after Lyons gold Sloane is running interference (even if she’s not really excited about it). Skylar is in blue and white, Sloane is in burgundy and gold.

The Match: Lockup and a takedown by the bigger Jacobs and then another one, Skylar slips out of the third with a drop toehold and cranks in a headlock but Sloane powers up so Raye gets a takeover out of the corner and they fight for pins. Jacobs finally gets out, gets a shoulder, and then a cartwheel evasion that Skylar one-ups and gets a headscissors takedown and a corner strike and a middle dropkick. Reverse slingblade gets a cover and then a back elbow lets Skylar go to the top…but Sloane yanks her off the top and drops a few elbows and gets a cover. Sidewalk slam for Jacobs gets 2 and then we get some trash-talk with Skylar in the ropes for a leg-choke, the ref breaks that up so they settle for a double-arm stretch and Skylar powers up and flips into a victory roll and then a schoolgirl for a cover. Jacobs with a leg wrench takedown and a double-jump springboard elbow follows and Jacobs is peeved at the kickout. A whip into the corner and a backbreaker for Jacobs and then another…but Skylar twists into Starfall (tilt-a-whirl DDT) for 3.

*½

Sloane is very plodding. Skylar still feels like she’s doing things to do them and cause she should do them.

Post-match, Skylar calls out Nikkita.

We now get a showcase of some ID Championship defenses where Laynie Luck lost her belt to Reality of Wrestling’s Monica Monroe (good week for Monroe’s) who now has an ID contract.

Now we have Alix Brooks talking for Kale Dixon as they call out Aaron Rourke for hogging the spotlight even after losing the title. Stealing opportunities he doesn’t deserve. It’s time for Kale Dixon and Alix Brooks!

Kale is a terrible promo.

Kale Dixon w/ Alix Brooks vs. Aaron Rourke

Background: Kale and Alix are bland pretty heels who have been beefing with Rourke in things the promos they cut broke down. Dixon is an evil…baseball athlete (novel background). Rourke of course is a former Evolve champ and is from Sparkle City and is our flamboyant, alternative babyface (he’s gay, but commentary sorta does a jitterbug around it).

The Match: Rourke with a hot start as he Germans Kale before the bell and stomps him down in the corner before Dixon brings some weak strikes and then Rourke gets some of his own chops and beats and chokes Kale in the corner and then a hard whip that Kale gets an elbow to block. Dixon grabs a leg but Rourke flips out of it and gets a codebreaker and Kale eats a clothesline to send him outside, he dives back in only to eat a clothesline to send him outside. Dixon barks at the camera and gets a third attempt and a third clothesline and Rourke hits a very loose tope and then blows off Alix Brooks before coming back inside for a tilt-a-whirl Russian Legsweep for 2. Rourke tries a figure four but Dixon boots him into the ropes, then whips Aaron into the ropes throat-first, and we go outside for some clubbing blows and then Alix assists on a Kale boot as we go to a break. We’re back and Kale is doing some ground and pound and then a chinlock. Rourke powers out and snatches a single-leg crab but Dixon powers out to send Aaron into the corner for more stomps and then a backbreaker for 2. Kale slugs Rourke down and a belly-to-back suplex for no cover as Kale just talks junk…and Rourke gets up to land a chop and some kicks but Kale rips at the eyes to curtail the flurry and a running chop and a low superkick subdue Rourke. Aaron rallies again but runs into a STO and goes up, but Rourke gets a handstand headscissors to bring him down and Rourke is firing up while selling. Both guys slug it out but they trade kicks and Rourke is up with some clotheslines, a leg lariat, and eat defeat before kipping up. A handspring elbow and then a second-rope codebreaker gets 2.8. Rourke is selling the back and its hard for him to reach his feet and he tries the figure-four again, Kale kicks him off and Rourke gets a running knee…and then Alix blows him a kick and both guys trade kicks before a Rourke enzuigiri staggers Kale…who just gets his 96 (rolling elbow) for a 2.9? Kale tries a lifting reverse DDT (?!) but Rourke slips out and get a pop-up powerbomb (?!?!) for 2.8. Rourke goes up, Dixon cuts him off but gets tossed off…but Alix then tosses Rourke off too and Aaron lands throat-first on the ropes and another 96 gets the 3.

**½

Okay, so Rourke is maybe quite good. Kale isn’t, but he can at least bounce around for babyface offense, he just can’t control a match, Alix actually maybe has something with her casually and appropriately cheating. This is probably Kale’s ceiling, get Rourke to something important, and attach Alix to somebody with some upside.

Post-match Blake Howard gets a call, and its Evolve champion Harlem Lewis saying he’s willing to run it back against Harley Riggins cause he’s not losing this belt until he gets called up to NXT.

Still too many ghosts for me, but at least there are a few people this show is building around that (as of now) are still employed. So y’know, we got some faces to look forward to.

Next week we’re getting Nikkita Lyons Nationwide Admiration Ceremony, Harley Riggins vs. Milosh Jovic, and Elijah Holyfield vs. Braxton Cole vs. Marcus Mathers.

Anyway thanks for reading as always, and keep on evolving my Evolvemaniacs.
