Tony Khan Reveals Interest In Former WWE Champion

AEW President Tony Khan has praised Ilja Dragunov and confirmed that he will be watching what comes next for the former WWE star. Speaking to TalkSPORT, Khan said he could not comment on Dragunov’s contractual situation but described him as a “great wrestler” and an “excellent athlete” who has competed at a high level. Khan added that he is a big admirer of Dragunov and will “always be on the lookout” to see what happens with him following his WWE departure.

Kyoki/Hiromu Takahashi wrestles dark match prior to WWE Raw

Former NJPW star Hiromu Takahashi has wrestled his first match for WWE under his new ring name, Kyoki. The Japanese star defeated Kit Wilson in a match taped before Monday’s episode of Raw. Kyoki was introduced as Shinsuke Nakamura’s new tag team partner on last week’s SmackDown, with the pair targeting the MFTs. Monday’s Raw aired two hours earlier than usual, with WWE also taping Friday’s episode of SmackDown immediately after the live broadcast.
