New stipulation added to WWE SummerSlam match
The match between Dominik Mysterio and Danhausen at SummerSlam will now be contested as a Human Monies On A Pole Match. The stipulation was made official after Ryan Garcia turned on Joe Hendry and Danhausen during their concert on Raw, smashing a guitar over Hendry before The Judgment Day attacked both men and the Minihausens. Later backstage, Danhausen suggested the unusual stipulation to Adam Pearce, who agreed to make it official. The rivalry has been ongoing throughout the summer, with Danhausen most recently defeating JD McDonagh at Saturday Night’s Main Event thanks to assistance from Karl-Anthony Towns.
WWE Hall Of Famer Predicts Vince McMahon Will Return To Wrestling
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross believes Vince McMahon is unlikely to walk away from professional wrestling despite settling his legal dispute with Janel Grant. Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross said he was glad the case had come to an end and suggested wrestling remains McMahon’s greatest passion, making it difficult to imagine him staying away from the industry. Ross also said it was possible McMahon could buy TNA Wrestling because he has the financial resources to do so, but dismissed the idea of him purchasing AEW, saying he does not believe Tony Khan would be interested in selling the promotion. He stressed that he had no inside knowledge of McMahon’s future plans and was only sharing his opinion.
Eric Bischoff Says WWE Should Not Save Tom Brady For WrestleMania
Eric Bischoff believes WWE would get greater value from using Tom Brady at an event other than WrestleMania. Speaking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff argued that WrestleMania is largely sold out months in advance, meaning Brady’s involvement would have less impact than if he were used to boost another show. He said WWE should first establish what Brady wants from a wrestling role, noting that his situation is different from The Rock’s because Brady has no wrestling background. Bischoff also suggested WWE’s September ESPN special, Wrestlepalooza, could be the ideal event for Brady, despite his NFL broadcasting commitments, believing his mainstream profile would generate huge media coverage and significantly increase exposure for the show.
