Further Details Emerge On Sheamus’ WWE Contract Status, Potential AEW Interest
Further details have emerged regarding Sheamus’ reported departure from WWE. According to Fightful, the former WWE Champion rejected a restructured contract offer rather than being released, meaning he will become a free agent immediately upon the expiration of his current deal, with no 90-day non-compete clause. While the exact expiry date is unknown, it is reportedly only months away, despite Sheamus having previously signed what was believed to be a five-year contract in 2024. Fightful also reports that AEW’s Claudio Castagnoli is expected to be among those pushing for the company to sign his former tag team partner once he becomes available.
Jey Uso’s Wife Files For Divorce
According to TMZ, Jey Uso’s wife, Takecia Fatu, has filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage. Court documents reportedly describe the marriage as “irretrievably broken,” with Takecia seeking sole custody of the couple’s younger son, along with child support, spousal support and attorney’s fees. The pair, who began dating in high school, have two children together. The report also notes that speculation surrounding Jey Uso’s personal life has grown in recent months following social media posts linking him to NXT star Jaida Parker, although neither has publicly confirmed a relationship.
Nikki Bella Shares Encouraging Injury Recovery Update
There is positive news regarding Nikki Bella’s recovery from the ankle injury she suffered ahead of WrestleMania 42. The WWE Hall of Famer, who was replaced by the returning Paige in the Women’s Tag Team Championship match at the event, has shared photos and videos on Instagram showing herself back in the ring training. While no timetable has been announced for her return, the update suggests Bella is making good progress towards an in-ring comeback.
