By Scott Herrin on 30 June 2026
Some big news emanating from TNA wrestling today. Most germane, according to multiple reports, Mike Santana (Mike Sanchez) is finished with TNA wrestling. His last day was Slammiversary and is not scheduled to appear at the latest tapings in Albany, New York. Santana wrestled for TNA for two years before heading to AEW (as part of Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle) before returning in 2024. In a statement published in “Celebrate Wrestling,” Santana thanked the fans. He also thanked TNA for the last two years in helping him re-create himself. He said he felt like he was able to accomplish a lot of things in TNA, both in the ring and out. Santana mentioned the TV deal with AMC as part of that. He talked about wanting to keep wrestling and continue his growth – an example he wanted to impart on his daughter.
Reports have WWE showing interest in the two-time TNA World Champion and four-time TNA Tag Team Champion with long time partner Ortiz (Miguel Molina.)
