WrestleMania Sunday Evening Daily News Update – 4.19.2026

Good Sunday evening to you all. It’s WrestleMania Sunday, so let’s hop into a little preview.

Before we do that, yesterday was WrestleMania Saturday and Scott Keith gave us a Rant. Reviews are mixed! Maffew also made a Sunday appearance to review AJPW on Nippon TV.

Now, let’s talk Wrestlemania 42 Night Two. The main show starts at 6 p.m. ET and will be on ESPN Unlimited in the US and Netflix internationally. The first hour from 6-7 will ALSO air on the big ESPN TV network. In that first hour, we’ll have Oba Femi against Brock Lesnar (preview). We’ll also have the Intercontinental Title ladder match with Penta defending against Rey Mysterio, Je’Von Evans, Rusev, Dragon Lee, and JD McDonough.

After the hour on ESPN, the rest of the show has four matches announced. WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defends against Roman Reigns (preview). WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley puts her gold on the line against Jade Cargill (preview). WWE U.S. Champion Sami Zayn is defending against Trick Williams and Finn Balor breaks The Demon back out to battle “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio in a street fight (preview).

We’ll also have John Cena back to host and we’re destined for a Danhausen appearance and a possible curse. I imagine there will also be a commercial or three.
