Evening Daily News Update: April 17, 2026

Good evening doomers, and welcome to your TGIF edition of the Evening Daily News Update! WrestleMania is this weekend, but we still have Friday Night Smackdown and a late-night (for us on the East Coast, at least) Hall of Fame Induction ceremony. The NBA Play-In continues, as Charlotte and Orlando battle for the final spot in the East, while Phoenix hosts Golden State in the West.

We have plenty of content from our usual gang of delinquents. Niz brings us the Thursday Edition of AEW Collision a.k.a. Spring Break Thru Collision, Scott H. has our weekly coverage of TNA Impact, Alex’s 5-Star Book Reviews is at Part VIII for Akira Hokuto, Mike Reviews TNA One Night Only: X-Travaganza from 2013, and Logan’s World Was Watching the December 18th, 1994 episode of The Action Zone.
