Evening Daily News Update: April 14, 2026

Good evening, doomers and welcome to your Evening Daily News Update. We’re just days away from WrestleMania, where dreams come true and moments take place! Tonight, we’ve got WWE NXT and the start of the NBA Play-In Tournament, as Charlotte hosts Miami in the East 9 v 10 and Phoenix hosts Portland in the West 7 v 8 matchups. Tomorrow night, we do it again, with conference positions swapped for ORL/PHI and LAC/GSW. Plenty of baseball, and hopefully the Yankees can pull one out without needing a 9th inning comeback, but a W is a W.

Kat hits us with a double-feature today, covering the latest episode of WWE Raw and the Peacock Documentary on Shawn Michaels. Yesterday’s content was a deep lineup from various contributors; Rock Star Gary gives us the May 25th, 1985 episode of Championship Wrestling, Logan’s 1994 run is nearing completion as he covers the December 12th episode of Raw, Jabroniville’s Joshi Spotlight features AJW from December 2001, Alex’s 5-Star Book Reviews continues the look at Akira Hokuto, and yours truly had the July 3rd, 2002 episode of NWA-TNA.

Prosper battles Dorian Van Dux for the Men’s Speed Title, and Tony D’Angelo defends the NXT Title against Ethan Page. We also have Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan and a Joe Hendry concert to enjoy!
