Evening Daily News Update: April 8, 2026

Good evening, doomers. It’s your Wacky Wednesday Evening Daily News Update! Tonight, AEW Dynamite continues to build on the momentum they’ve built with their best viewership numbers in quite a while. We’ve got MLB action already in the books and in progress as most teams are wrapping up a three game series, and the NBA slowly limps to the regular season finish line.

Last night’s episode of WWE NXT seemed frustrating, to say the least, but if you want details, check out Niz’s weekly recap to find out just how deep it goes. It’s not the deepest lineup announced ahead of time, but we do know we’re getting a Trios Match with Darbs, Jungle Jack and Bandido taking on Takeshita, Davis and Andrade of the Don Callis Family, Willow defends the TBS Title against Queen Aminata, and we’ll hear from Kenny Omega. Oh, and Chris Jericho is back. Hurray.
