Evening Daily News Update – February 28, 2026
By Kat Bourne on 28 February 2026
Happy Saturday evening to you! I am writing this live from a crate that is backstage in Chicago. Wait, no.
Tonight, WWE presents Elimination Chamber on ESPN Unlimited in the U.S. and Netflix elsewhere. The preshow starts at 5 p.m. ET with the show kicking off properly at 7 p.m. ET. Who or what will be in a crate? Who will be on their way to WrestleMania? Questions will be answered. Scott Keith will have a rant for you.
AEW has Collision at 8 p.m. on TNT and HBO Max. Thus far, we know of three matches involving members of the Don Callis Family. Will there be more? Will AEW have its own crate that has more Callis Family members in it? Niz will have your review here on Blog of Doom.
My SmackDown rewatches led me to wanting to watch Survivor Series 1999 for the first time, which I’ve reviewed here. Who hit Stone Cold? Niz has taken a look at last night’s SmackDown where the masked man – or one of them – was revealed.

Rhea Ripley Becomes Top Rated Active Superstar in WWE 2K26
2K has announced the ratings of the WWE 2K26 roster, with Mami topping all other active superstars as a 96. Now if only they could have found a spot for any active female competitor on any of the four WWE 2K covers, but at least they found three spots for Triple H.
That’s your scoop. Join in the comments for friendly discussion about all of tonight’s shows. Have a good night!
