Evening Daily News Update: February 23, 2026

Good evening, doomers! Time to kick off another week with your Monday Evening Daily News Update… yes, I’m aware that the calendar says SUNDAY begins the week, but work with me here. We’ve got WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix (yawn, and preview below) and the NBA is back in action. We’ve got a possible NBA Finals Preview tonight as San Antonio visits Detroit, beginning at 7:00 ET on Peacock (followed by Utah visiting Houston, but who cares, Utah isn’t interested in winning, ever, apparently).

Logan’s World Was Watching the October 30th, 1994 episode of The Action Zone (featuring THAT Tag Team Match), Jabroniville’s Joshi Spotlight covers GAEA Japan from September 2001, and Rock Stary Gary gives us the May 4th, 1985 episode of World Championship Wrestling.

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview:

Tonight, the WWE Universe celebrates the career of The Phenomenal A.J. Styles, who was retired by Gunther at Riyadh Rumble. We’ve got more Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, Nattie faces off with Maxxine Dupri, Liv Morgan will (possibly) make her decision for WrestleMania Las Vegas Part 2: Electric Boogaloo, and Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear as well. The action begins at 8pm ET.

The mysterious man decked in the colors of the greatest country in the world only spent a few months in WWE in 2003, but what a ride it was, including Arm-Wrestling, Lie Detector Tests, one-legged wrestlers (how did Johnny Ace sign the WRONG one-legged wrestler?!), Sean O’Haire acting as Roddy Piper’s lackey, and some Real American feels.
