Good evening, doomers! It’s a Friday the 13th Edition of the Evening Daily News Update. We’ve got WWE Smackdown (available on Syfy due to Olympic coverage on USA) and TNA No Surrender, as well as the Celebrity and Rising Stars games as part of NBA All-Star Weekend. If none of that tickles your fancy, then watch one of the dozen of Friday the 13th movies in the archives. May I recommend Part VI? It’s super-camp and a lot of fun.

On This Day… Shawn Loses His Smile!
On this day in 1997, Shawn Michaels cut his infamous promo where he relinquished the WWF Championship due to a possible career-threatening knee injury, and said he needed time away to find his smile. Shawn was appearing on TV again, though in a non-wrestling role, a month later.
