TNA Impact Review – 02.12.26

By Scott Herrin on 13 February 2026

Let’s take one last episode from Albuquerque before heading to Nashville for No Surrender probably in one the thousands of Hot Air Balloons that take part in the World’s Largest Hot Air Balloon Festival, held in Alburquerque. Unlike the festival, we’re not full of hot air and don’t have sandbags to weigh us down. We do have Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt handling the play by play and analyzing, we have Gia Miller and McKenzie Mitchell doing the backstage and ring announcing. We also have you, so let’s enjoy the aerial view of Tingley Coliseum (yes, the people look like ants) from on high and engage in some Impactful Discourse. Shall we? We shall.

Previously on Impact, we get highlights of Maclin’s heel turn as he turned on Mike Santana. We get the subsequent interview with Santana before he got attacked by the System until Moose saved the day with the Hardys.

We get formally introduced to the action by Hannifan and Rehwoldt and go right to action with Moose.

Moose looked focus as he headed to ringside and briefly shook hands with the crowd before grabbing and mic and orating. Everybody wants to know what is going in his big head. He is not going to complain about two grown men turning their back on him or four men leaving him lying on the mat. He’s not like that because he isn’t a female dog. He is called the “Face of the Franchise” because he has been through it all; what happened to him is just another Thursday from his home. Two years ago, in Las Vegas – at Hard To Kill – he created the System. He knows what to do dismantle it.

There is one man in the back that has the blueprint to take out the System one by one. He looks to the rampway and waits – that person is Mike Santana. Santana makes way through the concourse, shaking hands with the fans and then makes his way through the concourse and then around the arena. ( As he is doing that, we get hype for the eight-man tag match main event and the main event tomorrow at No Surrender. )

Santana talked about his history with the System. He does call Moose the creator and he is the blueprint. Santana would not have any other man than him beside me to kick the System’s glutes. Moose requested the Hardys to make an appearance.

BUT HOLD EVERYTHING, instead of the Hardys we get Daria Rae. She introduces herself to a chorus of boos and told the crowd to shut up. It doesn’t matter how Santino ran “this little circus,” they don’t make the format, the match will happen at the main event. So, whatever this is has to stop and asked Moose and Santana to leave the ring.

We go backstage to Ryan Nemeth doing some band arm stretches when Miller entered the scene. He was supposed to meet with her on stage to talk about his “Albuquerque Street Fight” tonight with Mara Sade (oh, good grief.) He didn’t show, so Miller hypothesizes we are doing it here.

Nemeth asked Miller how many times it is socially acceptable to superkick someone in the face (puts your hands down, Matt and Nick.) Miller went to answer before Nemeth interrupted her and said Sade superkicked him 400 billion times. She took a dart and threw it into his back. In Sade’s backyard, he is going to use every weapon he can to destroy that goblin in front of her friends, fans, Miller and everyone on AMC.

He said at the end of the match everyone will be chanting “Let’s go hunk,” even Miller, who he tried to cajole to do the chant. She’ll be it chanting later, he grouses. He then went back to stretches (moving his arm directly in front of Miller) and told her to hit the bricks. She left off screen and Ryan focuses on stretching.

We get another Black History tribute with the six-man match between the Three Live Cru versus Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger and Disco Inferno. The action included a wishbone from Konnan and James whilst Killings came off the top rope with a leg drop.

We also get hype for No Surrender tomorrow. We also go backstage to Moose who is fuming when Alisha Edwards walked into frame and wanted to talk to him. She is so sorry for what happened to him. She can’t wrap her head around it. She brought up her contract ending soon and doesn’t know if she belonged here anymore. Her mental health is not going well. It may be time for her to walk away.

Moose understood and gets it. However, he wanted her to know she was a big part of the system and was the brains behind it. If she wanted to stay, he will always be family and in her corner. Alisha felt reassured and left off screen.

We go ringside for the next match:

Rich Swann vs. Nick Nemeth

Swann is out first and dances and celebrates with the fan. Swann kept the dance party going in the ring as Nemeth’s music cues and Nemeth does his gyrating on the rampway. “The Wanted Man” strutted to ringside as we get more talk of the main event of No Surrender – Santana and Leon Slater vs. Nemeth and Eddie Edwards.

Nemeth backed Swann into the corner and gave him a clean break. Nemeth got another arm lock and rolled him into a cradle before landing a nice standing dropkick and more gyrating occurred. We get a boot rake of Swann by Nemeth and Nemeth stood on his hand whilst flexing.

Swann managed to get a headlock takedown but Nemeth reversed it to a headscissors. Swann hand stood out of it as Nemeth backed way and got on his feet. Nemeth got another headlock but Swann threw him to the ropes after a series of criss-crosses, Swann hit a dropkick off the ropes that sent Nemeth to the floor. Swann did some posing as Nemeth regrouped.

Nemeth collected himself and caught his break whilst jawing with some of the fans. Nemeth got back in the ring only to be met with a Swann punch and an enziguri that sent Nemeth back on the floor. Swann went to floor to throw Nemeth back. When both were in the ring, Swann hit a snap legdrop for a two count. Swann measured Nemeth and laned a hard kick to the back. The crowd chanted ”one more time” and Swann obliged.

Swann threw him into all four corners – with the crowd’s backing. The last had a Curt Hennig oversell by Nemeth. Swann put Nemeth in the corner and hit the 10-punch corner spot.
Both competitors went back to the floor as Swann continued to beat on Nemeth. Swann leapt at Nemeth but Nemeth caught Swann and dropped him – head first – into the apron.

The referee checked on Swann as Nemeth struggled to get to this feet but did manage to roll into the ring. The referee started his count as Swann struggled to get to this feet. Swann did emerge and beat the count only to be met with another boot rake and a choke on the mat by Nemeth. Nemeth grabbed a chinlock as we grab a commercial break, including an ad for TNAmerch.com.

When we return, Nemeth still had the chinlock but Swann fought out of it with a series of punches and a clothesline. He got the crowd riled up as Nemeth positioned himself in the former. Swann charged but Nemeth avoided a Swann leap into the corner. When Nemeth charged, Swann met him with a boot and a super kick. A hangman’s neckbreaker lead to a rolling body splash for a two count.

Nemeth went for the ropes but Swann grabbed him. Nemeth hit a back elbow but a jumping DDT was blocked but Nemeth roared back with a kick to the stomach and a Fame-asser for two-and-a-fraction. Both men writhed on the canvas the crowd chanted “this is awesome” (well…..)

Nemeth got to this feet and prepared for his Sweet Chin Music, except Swann deflected it. The two traded positions but Swann managed to throw Nemeth to the mat when Nemeth ran him to the ropes for a roll up. Nemeth attempted the Danger Zone drop but Swann blocked it. Nemeth had more success with a superkick and attempted another Danger Zone but Swann backflipped out of it. Swann hit the Kickback (a running back kick off Nemeth’s back and shoulders) and then climbed to the top rope. Swann hit the Frog Splash for two-and-a-fraction.

Swann got the crowd riled again and set Nemeth in position on the mat. He climbed to the top but his Phoenix Splash hit nothing but mat as Nemeth moved. NOW, Nemeth with the jumping DDT for a two count. Nemeth grabbed a sleeper hold on the mat as Swann tried to get to his feet. Swann did but Nemeth cinched the hold. However, Swann broke the hold with Nemeth on his shoulders and hit a Death Valley Driver as both men laid on the mat. The two traded punches in the “boo/yeah” spot until Nemeth got the best of it.

Swann furiously rallied as Nemeth yelled at him and hit a series of punches and a back kick. Swann hit the ropes for a handspring cutter off the top but Nemeth reversed it with the Danger Zone for the victory.

Post Match: Nemeth grabbed his Call Your Shot trophy and celebrated in the ring and taunted the fans as he went up the rampway.

We go backstage to Xia Brookside asking Indi Hartwell what tomorrow is? Hartwell knows what it is but wants Brookside to tell the people. IT’s No Surrender and Brookside asked if Hartwell knew what that meant? Hartwell said we’re not going to surrender. Brookside they won’t and neither will Knockouts World Champion Lei Ling Lee when she defends the title. Hartwell and Brookside talk out the champ but realizes that leaves them. What are they going to do?

Brookside said they earned a shot at the Knockouts Tag Team Title against the By Elegance Brand. Hartwell pinned M and Brookside pinned Heather, and tomorrow they are going to walk out Knockouts Tag Team Champions. Hartwell said they could also beat up the Personal Concierge (don’t you dare) and Mr. Elegance (ummm.okay…) Brookside said they could beat all of them. They do the math as they walk off screen.

We get hype for the rest of the show including the Alburquerque Street Fight, the Main and next we hear from Eric Young. We also get to hear from our advertisers.

We get another Black History Month tribute with Killings fighting Raven, A J Styles and Johnny Devine (same segment as last week – Monty Brown still watching.)

We come back to an ad for TNAPlus and a look at future events including No Surrender tomorrow (with TV tapings to follow,) Atlanta and then Sacrifice in New Orleans (with tv Tapings to follow.)
We cut to backstage with the Righteous. Vincent talks to “O, Brothers’ and what a beautiful thing unity can be. At No Surrender, the stars have aligned and it is quite euphoric. The Righteous finally get to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Hardys. Dutch extolled the Hardys as visionaries and men who gave their bodies, souls and everything to the business.

Vincent said at No Surrender they all face Order Four, men who believe order is power and fear is leadership. But as the die hard knows, fear is a four-letter word. Dutch said they take and they take and discard. Not The Righteous, Vincent, they lift their brothers and guide them and bring them to places they never thought they could reach. Matthew and “brother Nero” the Righteous are honored to stand beside them. Everything is going as it should. Dutch said trust us, for we are many. Dig what they’re saying, Vincent concluded. As we fade out and back to the ring.

Eric Young made his way down the ring without ski mask and poncho. Hannifan talked about his confrontation with BDE last week. Young got in the ring and grabbed a mic. In natural continuity, Young talked about the gift of time he gave BDE as a “what” chant emerged. He said this place is full of corporate puppets, thieves, liars and wannabe protectors. All that can be remedied and fixed with a cleanse and the truth. He wanted BDE to head to ringside to give him his answer.

BDE made his way to ringside. Young noticed the crowd loves BDE and there is a real connection. The crowd roared its approval and a “BDE” chant emerged. Young is man enough to say he doesn’t understand what BDE does, his popularity or his power. Young does understand the truth and real opportunity. Most of all, he is willing to let BDE be the hero – which Young asked if that is what he wanted. He asked was there anything he loved so much he would anything to save it? Young is willing to b a bad guy, leader of the opposition and do the unthinkable. Young needs his voice, reach and popularity. They need each other. Is he willing to be amongst the villains – the politicians and the sheep – or is he willing to be amongst the people who know the truth.

BDE grabbed the mic and said Young was right about a few things; he has only been here four months but knows this place isn’t perfect and there is politics backstage. There are games and people behind every corner that would stab him in the back. Young took that to mean he was right. Is it a yes or a no? BDE looked to the crowd and said he didn’t get his opportunity in TNA by letting someone decide what his truth sounds like. He thought about it a long time but he doesn’t Young or his imaginary friends – what he needs are his fans cheering him as he lives his dream. His answer was HELL Nah.

Young promptly beat on BDE and dropped him to the mat. He mauled BDE on the mat and ripped apart his shirt. He set BDE for his piledriver and, despite the pleading of the TNA Impact referees, hit it. The referees tended to BDE as Young left the ring – only to return and attempt another piledriver. This brought security to ringside. He let BDE go and attacked a security guy.

He shoved a female referee and hit the piledriver on the security guy he attacked. He threatened the other security members but raised his hands and then left the ring. He threatened the fans of Alburquerque but when another security man tried to remove him, Young piledrove him and threatened the security on the floor this time. Young threatened the fans and security some more but headed up the rampway.

We get hype for the rest of the card including the Alburquerque Street Fight next…after the break.

We get some hype for the TNAPlus/YouTube series “Immersed” featuring Ash..by Elegance. This includes her rise in TNA and then winning the Knockouts Title only to relinquish it dure to medical reasons.

We cut back to backstage and Young is still attacking security people in the garage area. After a multitude of security guards control him, Santino Marella ran into the shot and said that is the last time you put your hands on an official and he is now suspended and wanted security to throw him out of the building (same door that Maclin had his sneak attack.)

However, Rae entered and told everyone to shut up. She ordered security to release Young. She said she will talk to Young in her office later. Everyone leaves out of scene. Rae told Marella that he is not suspended because she got an email from someone higher than them that he is needed for No Surrender. He will wrestle BDE in a one-on-one match. She admonished Marella and told him to stop making irrational, emotional decisions. Rae left off screen and Marella muttered something under his breath and Rae asked what he said. He said he said nothing and she left again off screen.

Alburquerque Street Fight: Ryan Nemeth vs. Mara Sade

Nemeth is out first to his new theme and a yellow “Women’s Wrestling Champion of the World” Shirt (a la Andy Kauffman as Tom Hannifan noted as I did.) Nemeth did the Sade taunt mockingly as the lights dimmed and Sade made her way down to the ring. As Sade danced, Nemeth attempted to attack her but Sade ducked a punch and landed a series of shots of her own. Nemeth tried to escape through the barricades and into the stands but Sade followed suit.

Sade beat on Nemeth in the seats. Nemeth tried to run her into a garbage can but Sade blocked it and hit a back elbow and continued the onslaught, including running Nemeth into the garbage can. Sade brought him back to the ringside and grabbed two cooking sheets and brought them into the ring. She walloped Nemeth with them and even blocked a Nemeth punch with one. As Nemeth comically sold the shot, Sade attacked Nemeth and backed him into a corner.

She tried a monkey flip but Nemeth blocked it and put Sade on the turnbuckles. Sade kicked Nemeth in the arm and as Nemeth sold the shot, hit a nice missile dropkick from the top turnbuckle. Nemeth hit the floor and Sade measured her shot. She tried to hit a sliding kick but Nemeth moved and ensnared Sade in the TNA Impact bunting. With Sade trapped, Nemeth then hit her in the abdomen with the cooking sheets.

As Nemeth taunted the fans, Sade crawled under the ring and grabbed a chair. She rammed it into Nemeth’s abdomen and just missed waffling Nemeth with a chair shot. Nemeth grabbed Sade and ran her into the mat on the floor. Nemeth grabbed the chain and ran it into Sade’s abdomen. He continued to taunt the fans and taunted Sade. Hannifan brought up the fact Andy Kauffman is Nemeth’s all-time favorite wrestler.

Nemeth got a two count from a Rude Awakening neckbreaker on the floor. Nemeth continued to taunt the fans and ran her Sade into the mat. He banged the chair on the floor and set up the chair in the corner. He grabbed Sade and dedicated the next move to his “Big Baahhruuutahhh” and attempted another Rude Awakening on the chair. However, Sade reversed it and ran Nemeth into the ringpost.

Sade hit a running clothesline (leaping off the chair) to drop Nemeth. Sade grabbed a bag full of lollipops. “IT’s Dum-dums for a dumdum” Hannifan said. “It may not be thumbtacks but it can’t be comfy to land on them,” Rehwoldt added. However, Nemeth eyeraked Sade and got her on his shoulders but Sade fought out of the hold. The two attempted suplexes and after multiple attempts, Sade finally hit a snap suplex. She threw Nemeth into the ring and grabbed a kendo stick.

She whacked Nemeth repeatedly with the stick and got a two-and-a-fraction with a side Russian Leg Sweep (using the cane as extra propulsion.) Sade used the cane to choke Nemeth on the mat. Nemeth tried to roll out of it and got a two count and got control of the kendo stick. She hit Sade in the back with hit and then started to choke her with it and stomped her in the back to the mat.

Nemeth taunted the crowd and then went to the top rope with the stick. Sade quickly arose and hit the rope as Nemeth straddled the stick on his way down. Sade measured Nemeth and connected on a Superkick for the victory.

Post Match: Sade posed on the turnbuckles as Rehwoldt called it a Hollywood tragedy. Hannifan said it was a romantic comedy. Sade then ripped the shirt from Nemeth and wiped her face with it before throwing it at him.
We also throw it to the BioFlex Injury Report. Moose is cleared for action tonight despite a hurt back. Jeff Hardy is nursing multiple injuries but he is also cleared for the main event tonight. Jada Stone is out from the injury suffered from Mustafa Ali hitting the Highwayman’s Farewell (tombstone piledriver) last week. Ash By Elegance is cleared after her examination last week after her match last week. BDE is in evaluation after suffering the piledriver from Young.

We get another Black History Month Celebration, well another rerun of last week as we see Mickie James and Tasha Steelz fight at Sacrifice. We also get another ad for the TNAPlus/Youtube “Immersed” special focused on JDC and his final days in TNA Impact.

We go backstage and we get Mance Warner and Steph DeLander who wanted to reintroduce themselves. If we don’t know who DeLander is, oh baby, are we going to find out. Warner introduced himself and he fights, he bleeds and walks through people everywhere he goes, people find out the hard way. DeLander said she is the beauty to Warner’s beast. Here in TNA everyone is worried about politics, but they are worried about stacking bodies. Warner said people say TNA is a family but the last time Ole’ Mancer checked, families don’t pay his bills, violence does. Why is that a problem, DeLander asks? Because someone will find themselves in the ring and will find out why Warner is called “The Southern Psycho.”

We cut to a montage and a backstory behind Ali’s feud with Elijah. We even cut to the mock prayer Ali did for Elijah and prayed God to make sure Elijah doesn’t make another stupid decision. Elijah took offense to that and said he mocked God but also mocked those who are abused, victimized and traumatized. That is who Ali is laughing. His God is consuming fire and no one will escape Judgement. In Music City, there are going to have a Guitar Case Casket Match. When he slammed into that casket and hear the chords, Ali will be thinking he should have walked with Elijah and he should sincerely pray.

We go to another hype piece for No Surrender in Nashville. We go back to Hannifan and Rehwoldt who continue to hype the program. The pre-game started at 6:30 (CST). There will be a Knockouts Battle Royal (for a future title shot,) Lee vs. Arianna Grace for the Knockouts World Title, Brookside and Hartwell vs. the Elegance Brand for the Knockout Tag Titles, Stacks vs. Trey Miguel for the International Title, BDE vs. Eric Young, the Hardys and the Righteous vs. Order Four and the main event Santana and Slater vs. Nick Nemeth and Eddie Edwards.

Tonight’s main event is next..after commercials.

We get one more Black History Month Celebration as we get a repeat from last week as we get Sade vs. Tasha Steelz. We get more No Surrender hype and we get one more backstage segment as Marella is checking his phone when Grace runs into the shot and said he actually did it and got her the Knockouts title shot. She said he’s the best and the two hug. We pan around Marella and see Grace holding his cobra puppet; she looked at it for a moment whilst hugging him. Uh-oh.

Eight Man Tag Match: The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Cedric Alexander and Bear Bronson vs. The Hardys, Moose and Mike Santana (with Alisha Edwards in tow)

The System is out first and switched to a blue and black color scheme. Hannifan and Rehwoldt that Edwards has his “Feast or Fire” World title shot whilst Rae suggested that Slater should invoke option C for a title shot. Moose is out next with Edwards. The crowd is heavily into the “Moose chant” but not as heavy as they cheer for the Hardys, who are next. The crowd equally pop loud for Santana who made his way through the same concourse and shook hands with the crowd as he made his way through the throngs of people to ringside. The faces hit the ring at the same time as the System hits the floor and we hit a commercial break.

There’s also another replay of the Black History Month from last week as we see Jada Stone get her contract despite the loss to Mila Moore.

We came back to Moose charging the corner and all of the System hit the floor. The System components map their strategy; meanwhile, Moose tagged Santana. Finally, Myers started the match as a very loud “Mike Santana” chant emerged. Santana dodged a Myers punch and beat on Myers around the ring. He also hit a dropkick off the ropes. Edwards tried to sneak attack Santana but was met with a superkick for his efforts. Santana hit a running back elbow to Myers in the corner and then slammed Myers face first into the mat and hit a senton off the ropes.

Santana grabbed an armlock and started to pound away on the arm and tagged Jeff Hardy. Hardy cinched an armlock of his own as an equally loud “Hardy” chant emerged. Jeff tagged Matt and hit the elbow drop on the arm of Myers spot. He worked the arm over the shoulder and slugged away on Myers. He tagged Jeff and the two hit the slingshot guillotine on the ropes and leg drop on the apron spot. Jeff got a two spot on a splash.

Jeff tagged Santana who hit a flying double foot stomp on the arm of Myers. Myers did slug Santana and ran him into the System’s corner and tagged Edwards. Edwards ran Santana into the corner and then clotheslined him for a two count. Edwards tagged Bronson, who mauled Santana in the corner, including a running clothesline. Alexander tagged into the match and hit a suplex slam and then beat on Santana on the mat for a two count.

Alexnader continued to beat on Santana until Santana flipped out of a German Suplex attempt and hot tagged Moose. Moose dropped Alexander and then hit a running big boot on Bronson on the apron. He hit a back elbow to dispatch Myers. Alexander tried to attack but Moose grabbed Alexander and put him on the top turnbuckle. He hit a dropkick on Alexander on the turnbuckles.

Edwards tried to attack but was hit with another big boot. Myers got back in the ring but was met with an urinagi and a Senton. Moose got the crowd riled and grabbed Alexander to hit the Go to Hell chokebomb for two-and-a-fraction. Moose measured Alexander but Myers distracted him. That gave Alexander time to recuperate and hit a flying kick on Moose. He tagged Edwards, who mocked Moose’s chant. Moose recovered and hit a dropkick and Edwards hit the mat.

Moose tagged Matt and he hit the descending 10 count turnbuckle ram on Edwards. He did the same to Myers and then Alexander. He measured Edwards but Bronson got ready to attack. Edwards pushed Matt into Bronson who dropped the tag champ with a body block. Edwards officially tagged Bronson, who ran Matt into the apron and then threw him into the ring. Bronson taunted the faces and beat on Matt in the corner as another loud “Hardy” chant emerged. Hardy tried to rally and reversed a backdrop into a sunset flip but Bronson fought off Hardy and sat on Hardy.

Alexander taunted the fans as Bronson continued to maul Hardy. He ran Matt into Myers’ boot. Myers tagged a loud (almost dueling) “TNA/Hardy” chant emerged. Myers grabbed a chinlock on Matt. Matt slugged his way out of it and hit a jawbreaker to escape. However, Hardy hit the ropes and Myers met him with a flying knee. Edwards tagged and mauled Matt with his boot. The referee was distracted with Moose as Edwards choked Matt on the ropes whilst Alexander slugged him in the ribs. Bronson also got a cheap shot.

Edwards slugged away on Matt and knocked Jeff from the apron. Alexander tagged and beat on Matt as a “Ref, you suck” chant emerged. Alexander taunted the fans and the faces. This gave Matt time to recuperate and tried to rally. But, Alexander hit a dragonscrew legwhip to drop Matt and Alexander tagged Bronson. Bronson hit an elbow drop and mauled Matt in the corner (Myers also got a cheap shot.) Bronson ran Matt into the corner and shoulder blocked his torso and tagged Edwards. Edwards continued the onslaught in the corner. Myers tagged and continued the prolonged beatdown in the corner as we got our final commercial break.

We have time for one more repeated Black History Month tribute as we “Consequences” Creed (Xavier Woods) and Sheik Ali Bashir (Sean Daivairi) square off with an US Marine being honored by Creed.

We come back to Myers slamming Matt on the mat. Myers tagged Alexander and Alexande dropped an elbow on Hardy. He followed with a knee to the torso and a snap suplex for a two count. Alexander looked a facelock on Matt. Matt tried to rally but Alexander tagged Myes who locked in a facelock. The faces tried to rally Matt who got to his feet but was kneed down by Myers. Myers also superkicked Santana to the floor but that gave Matt time to recover and hit the Side Effect on Myers.

Hardy staggered around the ring but tagged Santana. Edwards also tagged but Santana was un casa de fuego chopped away on Edwards. He threw Edwards into the corner and no sold an elbow and kick to continue to chop Edwards. Edwards reversed a whip into the turnbuckles but Santana leapt over a charging Edwards and blocked a kick and hit an enziguri.

Edwards tried to rally and threw Santana again into the turnbuckles but Santana leapt on the turnbuckles and hit the Rolling Block 50 on Edwards and got a two count until the System interrupted the pin. The faces dispatched the System. The Hardys and Moose were in the ring and the Hardys hit a flying splash on Edwards (it was set up for the Poetry in Motion.) Moose hit another urinagi on Edwards and Santana leapt from the top rope for two-and-a-fraction until the System ran into the faces and interrupted the pin (another “Ref, you suck” chant emerged.)”

Bronson grabbed Santana and beat him. He threw Santana into the corner and then Edwards hit the Blue Thunder Bomb on him. Meanwhile, Myers was perched on the top rope and hit a flying elbow smash on Santana. Alexander climbed to the top and hit his own frog splash. Edwards tried to pin Santana and got two-and-a-fraction. Edwards staggered around the ring and Santana had enough to roll him up for a quick two count. Santana got to his feet and kicked Edwards but Myers dropped him again with a spear.

This brought Jeff back into the fray and hit the inverted round house kick on Myers who went to the floor. Alexander went after Jeff and blocked a jawbreaker with a knee. Moose got in the ring and Alexander leapt at him only to be met with a headbutt. He hit a running boot on Bronson but Bronson recovered as Moose hit the ropes and hit a Bossman Slam on him. Matt got in the ring and hit the Twist of Fate to remove Bronson from the mat. However, Edwards threw Matt out of the ring. This gave Santana time to recover and attempted to hit Edwards with the Spin the Block. Edwards ducked it and the two came off the ropes and simultaneously hit running clothesline on each other as another “TNA” chant emerged.

Santana tagged Jeff as Edwards tagged Bronson. The two traded shots but Jeff got the advantage. Hardy dropped Bronson with a series of forearms off the ropes and chops. He also hit his inverted atomic drop/wishbone legdrop/seated dropkick chain for a two count. He also hit a jawbreaker on Hardy and then grabbed a submission hold Hannifan noted was used against the Righteous.

However, Myers grabbed one of the tag belts and attempted to use it but Alisha grabbed it and prevented him from using it. While Jeff watched, Bronson hit him from behind. Moose hit Myers with a big boot on the floor but Edwards leapt between the ropes and hit Moose. Santana dove over the top rope and dove on Edwards.

Meanwhile, Bronson grabbed Jeff and was going for his chokebomb. However, Jeff kicked Bronson to escape and the Hardys hit the Plot Twist to drop Bronson. Matt removed his shirt, climbed to the top and was set to hit his Swanton Bomb. Alexander hit Jeff and he was laid on the top turnbuckle as Matt knocked Alexander to the floor. However, Jeff was still on the top turnbuckle; Bronson took the opportunity to grab Jeff and hit the Rikishi Driver for the victory.

Post Match: The System celebrated on the rampway as the faces tried to recover in the ring as we recover from the action and end the show.

Impactful Ruminations:

One: Although its wrestling legacy is being the place for phantom title changes, I give full props to the people of Alburquerque for being very vocal and being heard during the taping cycle. That was one of the better crowds I have seen in a long time (save one chant, which will be covered in a bit.)

Two: The main event was really good. It got a little finisher spammy at the end but no reflection of the combatants. I was shocked to see Bronson get the pin but it gave him some legitimacy as a threat and another person chasing Santana in the near future. This was the most credible I have seen Bronson and was impressed.

Three: Although the match has a silly stip to it (Why not just call it a Casket Match and had the guitar case,) that was a really good promo from Elijah. I mean, it was the best I ever heard him and harkened back to fiery face promos of my youth.

Four: The Street Fight was what it was. The right person won and now we can put this mess behind her and have her in the Knockouts scene and challenge people there. Nemeth channeling Kaufman was a funny touch but bogged down in the weapons.

Five: Do we really need to bring pouches of anything to the ring anymore? That is incredibly dated. Lollipops? Come on (although it did give a highlight of Hannifan and Rehwoldt’s announcing tonight.)

Six: The Nick Nemeth vs. Rich Swann match was good but it seemed to waste Swann. I know we must keep Nemeth strong for the main events and for the title hunt. But, did we have to sacrifice Swann who just got some huge momentum from his feud with A J Francis?

Seven: The downside of the crowd. The Eric Young promo was too long already; we didn’t need the “what” chants to prolong it? I am tired of “the cleanse” talk and hope this finally pays off to some fruition. However, I don’t see the fruition being entertaining.

Eight: One more thing on Young, I did like the energy in BDE’s part of the dialogue. That was a good baby face promo.

Nine: I am still not sold on Warner. Before he got to TNA, he was a Stone Cold clone, but a really good one. Now, with the face paint and DeLander, it just sounds average. The face paint is not doing him any favors.

10: Daria Rae (formerly Sonya DeVille) worked great as a buttkicker in the ring with just enough on the mic in short doses. Prolonged dialogues are not her strong suit. I know we are going to go somewhere because we get the repeated “emotional/irrational” talk from every one of her promos. This might be a whiff, as big a fan as I am of her – and I truly am. Just not as a primary orator.

11: Yeah, Samuel Morse is on the writing squad as we see the expected turn from Grace happening in that segment.

12: As far as good promos go, this was a really good promo from the Righteous. I might be turning the corner and seeing Jeff and Matt have a match as Jeff dips little by little into the Righteous dogma. I am actually curious and interested how the match goes tomorrow.

Lastly: I love a good bolillo roll as much as anyone. They’re really good. But, they must have been hard to get this last month with all the cooking and baking sheets being used as weapons in street fights.

Keep Fighting the Good Fight.
