WWE executives, including Paul “Triple H” Levesque, addressed the wrestling future of AJ Styles after it seemed unclear if he had actually retired after losing to Gunther at the Royal Rumble. WWE broadcaster Peter Rosenberg said that he had spoken to Styles, who told him that he was officially retired from wrestling, despite the confusion over his not leaving his gloves in the ring after teasing that he would.

Backstage News On Ava’s Decision To Leave WWE

Ava has chosen to leave WWE after deciding not to re-sign with the company, with Dave Meltzer saying on Wrestling Observer Radio that there was “no compelling reason” beyond her no longer wanting to continue in wrestling. Meltzer added that the decision was entirely hers and not due to a release, though speculation has linked her exit to the recent departure of her partner, Tatyanna Dumas, something he said remains unconfirmed.

Backstage Reaction to Royce Keys’ WWE Royal Rumble Debut Revealed

Backstage reaction to Powerhouse Hobbs’ Royal Rumble debut as Royce Keys was reportedly positive, though some WWE staff were confused after his former AEW ring name briefly appeared on screen before the rebrand. According to Fightful Select, Hobbs turned down a major AEW offer to make the move and even contacted Jim Ross ahead of his Rumble appearance to signal he was ready for the next chapter.
