By Conor Renshaw on 13 November 2025

Morning, all!

It’s that time again, it’s Morning Daily News o’clock!

We’ve also got a few new lovely blog posts to sink our teeth into! First up, we’ve got the first in a new series of reviews from Kat, as we have a review of WCW Monday Nitro from September 4, 2000. Jabroniville has blessed us with a new Dream Matches post, and LScisco has a new WTWWW for WWF Wrestling Challenge from July 17, 1994.

Ric Flair Misses Advertised AEW Dynamite Appearance Due to Injury

Ric Flair was supposed to make an appearance on Dynamite last night, but he was missing from the segment featuring Ricky Steamboat and FTR that took place on the show. Flair was in attendance at the event and made a brief non-televised appearance, and the reason for this, according to Dave Meltzer, was that Flair was in too much pain due to a rotator cuff tear that he’s suffering from.

AEW World Title To Be Defended Inside Steel Cage At Full Gear

The AEW World Title will be defended inside a steel cage at Full Gear on November 22. Following “Hangman” Adam Page’s Falls Count Anywhere match win over Powerhouse Hobbs on last night’s Dynamite, The Opps launched an attack on Page, who was saved by Eddie Kingston and Hook. As the segment came to a close, Page issued the challenge to Joe to have their Full Gear match take place in a steel cage.

Chris Jericho Buries AEW Presentation Discussing Recent TNA Success

As rumours continue to swirl about Chris Jericho’s future in AEW, he recently took to his podcast and bashed AEW over their presentation of Dynamite inside the old ECW arena. Jericho said that TNA’s recent Bound for Glory pay-per-view had an excellent presentation, whereas Dynamite in the 2300 Arena “looked like a Tony Condello taping” and that TNA looks more like the second biggest wrestling company in terms of presentation.

Injury Update On Buddy Matthews

An update has been provided on the injury status of Buddy Matthews. Matthews suffered an ankle injury at AEW Grand Slam Australia in February, and now he has posted to Instagram stating that he has now been able to perform hack squats in the gym for the first time following his surgery. He stated that he is still dealing with restricted mobility in his ankle, but he is improving every day.
