Tony Khan names ‘dream’ AEW signing
Tony Khan spoke about who he’d love to bring back into AEW from outside the wrestling world, and named Shaquille O’Neal as the guy he’d want to bring back. Khan said that Shaq is the best non-wrestler the company has had work for them, and he’d love to get him back in an AEW ring.
NXT Championship Last Man Standing Match Ends With Big Return
Last night’s episode of NXT saw the return of former NXT Champion Oba Femi following the main event title match between Ricky Saints and Trick Williams. After Saints got the win over Williams, Oba Femi returned and stood on the entrance ramp to close the show.
Andrade Shoots Down Report He Walked Out of Lucha Libre Event Over Backstage Issues
After yesterday’s rumours came out that Andrade had walked out of a wrestling event in Mexico, as he was “unhappy with something at the show”, Andrade himself has spoken about these allegations and denied them and joked that he went to a well-known strip club in Tijuana called the Hong Kong Gentlemen’s Club.
New WWE Speed Champion Crowned On NXT
Also, last night on NXT, the WWE Speed Championship changed hands as Jasper Troy defeated El Grande Ameicano to capture his first title in WWE. Despite efforts from Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano, El Grande was unable to resort to his usual cheating ways of using his concealed metal plate to strike Troy as he was spotted by the referee. In the confusion that followed, Troy was able to hit the Black Hole Slam onto El Grande to capture the Speed Title.
