Evening Daily News Update

Good evening, doomers. TGIF. The NBA Emirates Cup 2025 continues, with Prime Video hosting a double-header of Houston @ San Antonio and Golden State (minus an ill Steph Curry) @ Denver. There isn’t a Knicks game tonight, so I get to doom watch the Wizards and Nets in their quest for win #2 (they’ll be taking on Cleveland and Detroit). WWE Smackdown is on as well, but I’m sure most of us will skip it for something more meaningful, like talking about the early seasons of Miami Vice.

Scott Herrin reviewed the cobbled together bits of last night’s TNA Impact, Mike Reviews ITV World of Sportfrom 1981, and Logan’s World Was Watching the July 11th, 1994 episode of Monday Night Raw (featuring a fantastic match between Bret Hart and the 1-2-3 Kid).

The 1st-Ballot AEW Hall of Famer went under the knife in August for a double knee replacement. At the time, he was holder of both the ROH Tag Team and Trios Titles, but had to relinquish them due to the length of time he would miss.
