Evening Daily News Update
By Garth Holmberg on 13 October 2025
Good evening, doomers! We’re having a wonderful Holiday Monday, aren’t we? The Seattle Mariners inch one game closer to their first trip to the Fall Classic, but Game 2 should be a few innings deep as this update goes live, with Toronto hoping to even things before heading out to Seattle for Wednesday Night. Game 1 of the NLCS between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers kicks off later tonight. Week 6 of the NFL Season saw the Jets continue to be the most pathetic franchise in the league (-10 net passing yards, baby!), Baker Mayfield is an early candidate for MVP considerations, and the Chiefs fans are popping champagne for getting to .500 thanks to wins over the totally broken Baltimore Ravens and Juggernaut Giants. Monday Night Raw saw a special 8 AM ET start thanks to being in Australia, and the big news is Seth Rollins faking another injury and getting betrayed by Bron and Bronson. Kat will have the full coverage later tonight.
We’ve got A LOT of content to check out today, including Scott Herrin’s coverage of last night’s TNA Bound for Glory, Phrederic’s recap of Dream Star Grand Prix from September 14th, Rock Star Gary’s World Class trip continues with the May 28th, 1988 episode, Alex has Part XVII of Mitsuharu Misawa books, Jabroniville’s got Joshi Spotlight with shine on ARSION from April 2001, and Logan’s World Was Watchingthe June 19th, 1994 episode of Challenge (same day as King of the Ring). I’ve dug into the AWA archives with the October 7th, 1989 episode of All-Star Wrestling, featuring the Team Challenge Series Lottery Selection.
Darby Allin: AEW Locker Room Better Since Cutting Out The Bad Attitudes
Darby doesn’t care much for people who don’t lose random matches that don’t elevate anyone. It wasn’t CM Punk, but I’m sure people still will find a reason to bring him up.
Ridge Holland Contract Not Being Renewed
Holland’s contract is set to expire on November 14th.
