It’s the middle of the working week again, and I don’t know about where you all are, but here in the UK, it feels like the sun’s auditioning for a role as a blowtorch. But despite slowly melting, we’ve got more Morning Daily News! TNA Title Match Set For WWE NXT Heatwave
Two matches have been set for the upcoming NXT Heatwave show on August 24, with one of the matches being a TNA Knockouts Title match as Jacy Jayne defends against Masha Slamovich and Ash by Elegance in a Triple Threat. And also announced was a number one contenders match for the NXT Women’s Championship as Jaida Parker faces Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice in another Triple Threat.
Vince McMahon Speaks Out Following Hulk Hogan’s Death: “He Wasn’t a Racist”
Vince McMahon spoke in an interview with TMZ about the death of Hulk Hogan, and McMahon defended the late WWE Hall of Famer by stating that he “wasn’t a racist” despite the infamous footage of Hogan saying racist remarks that surfaced in 2015. McMahon also spoke about how he felt learning about Hogan’s passing and how he feels Hogan’s last appearance in WWE angered him, and that he would have booked it differently.
Brian Knobbs At Risk Of Amputation Over Health Issues
One-half of The Nasty Boys, Brian Knobbs, is apparently at risk of losing his leg due to ongoing health issues, as he shared a video on YouTube about how he has a recurring infection in his foot and that his doctors are thinking of amputating. Knobbs had another health scare earlier this year when he was rushed to the hospital due to dangerously low blood levels, which required an emergency blood transfusion. Knobbs has launched a GoFundMe and has asked fans for their support to help with his medical bills.
It has been reported that “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard has re-signed with AEW, with his new deal being a five-year contract. It was previously reported that Menard’s original deal was set to expire around the time of All In in 2026, but his new deal will see him remain with the company until at least the summer of 2030.
