The Blog of DOOM Weekly Compendium – 08.03.25 to 08.09.25

Happy Sunday Everyone!

This is something new that I thought I’d try where I’d take all of the reviews and features from the Blog this week and compile them into one big compendium so that you can work your way through the content or pick and choose what you’d like to read. If this works well and people like it, then I’ll try and make it a regular thing, and if no one cares about it I…won’t. Seems simple enough!

We start out with Maffew’s most recent review from 3rd August, as he takes a look at an FMW show that features, amongst other things, a continuation of the feud between Mr. Gannosuke and Hayabusa, and a Main Event of Masato Tanaka vs. Tetsuhiro Kuroda. Always a good read and well worth your time!

Jabroniville gave us another Joshi Spotlight on the 4th of August. I’m not much of a JOSHI BOY myself, but J’s writing style is very engaging and his love for the sport always comes across, so give it a read as he looks at the Joshi scene as a whole in the year 2000

No One Can Beat Megabucks took a look at The Racoons (great, now I’ll have that outro song stuck in my head all day, thanks for nothing Megabucks) in Tooned In. The Racoons as a show raised numerous important topics such as; the inescapable death march to society brought on by unchecked corporate greed, the importance conservationism and also an intense debate on what type of creature Cyril Sneer is actually meant to be in a show that is primarily populated by anthropomorphic forest animals?

Nizwas back on the 9th August with a review of WWE SmackDown, featuring Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre teaming up against John Cena and Cody Rhodes in a match they probably could have Main Evented a pay per view with if we were in 1988, but it was just on Free TV in 2025 because we’re spoiled as wrestling fans in many ways these days.
