By Conor Renshaw on 1 August 2025

Happy Friday, everyone!

The weekend is here again, and it’s SummerSlam weekend! But before that, we’ve got another round of Morning Daily News. It’s also August now, which is crazy as I’m sure July just started like 2 days ago.

While I’ve got you, why not take a look at all the happenings on the blog from yesterday? We’ve got Scott Herrin’s review of last night’s episode of Impact, we have Sonic Reducer’s review of the latest WWE Evolve, next up, we have Garth Holmberg’s review of last night’s ROH TV, check out Alex Podgorski’s newest (Almost) 5-Star Match Reviews, also, Tomas Cunha did a piece on 10 SummerSlam matches he thinks WWE got wrong and what he thinks they should have been, and finally, Kat has done her review of Episode 3 of WWE Unreal.

Tetsuya Naito Unable To Get US Work Visa, Unsure Of Next Steps

In bad career news for former NJPW star Tetsuya Naito, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has opened up about his struggles in attempting to secure a U.S. visa in order to wrestle in the States. Naito said that he was planning on travelling from the UK to the United States but was denied a visa for entry into the U.S., leaving his career future uncertain, which will likely mean his next match will be in Europe and not America.

Kyle Fletcher Defeats Dustin Rhodes To Win AEW TNT Championship On Collision

Kyle Fletcher has captured his first AEW title as he defeated Dustin Rhodes to capture the TNT Championship on last night’s episode of Collision. Fletcher defeated Rhodes in the main event of the show in a Street Fight by delivering a running knee and then his Protoplex Brain Buster to score the three-count victory.

TNA World Championship Match Confirmed For Emergence & 2 Title Matches Announced For Next Week’s Impact

A lot of things happened on last night’s episode of TNA Impact as two title matches were confirmed for Emergence, and two title matches were confirmed for next week’s edition of Impact. The TNA World Title is on the line at Emergence as Trick Williams defends against Moose, and the X-Division Championship will be defended as Leon Slater faces off against Cedric Alexander. And on Impact next week, Knockouts Champion Jacy Jayne will defend against Ash by Elegance, and the TNA International Title is on the line as Steve Maclin squares off against Jake Something.
