What if…..Geno Hernandez

Hey Scott,
Seeing Geno Hernandez pop up in your recent Mid South TV rant and how you thought his match was ahead of its time got me thinking, where would his career path have taken him if he never self destructed. I know you've mentioned before that you don't think he would have ever become a world champion but what would he have most likely accomplished if he had a long career? Could he have carved out a nice midcard or tag team career for years in WWF/WCW or would he have been identical to his World Class counterpart Chris Adams and stuck around Texas for years through WCCW and GWF and end up with a cup of coffee in WCW as an old veteran?
Just to be clear on my thoughts, Chavo Guerrero made the match ahead of its time. I never thought Gino Hernandez was any kind of big deal, personally. The comparison with Chris Adams is likely the one that's spot on.
