Cody’s booking

Scott,
Over the weekend, one of the threads had conversation about Cody's booking and if he's the best booked star since Austin or Hogan.

I think the answer might be yes, but more importantly I think he's earned this booking.

Let's not forget over a 24 hour period 2 years ago, Cody lost the main event of Wrestlemania, told the guy that cheated him “he was the better man”, and then got wrecked by Brock. The fans had every opportunity to move on or forget about him but Cody's connection w/ the fans only grew stronger. The fans chose him over Sami, over Punk, over the bloodline samoan circle jerk dream match w/ the Rock. And even now, as popular as Roman & Punk are, when either teases coming for Cody's title, the live crowds don't go along w/ it. It could all end anytime, but no one in WWE has had this consistent level of fan support for over 2+ years now since Stone Cold.

And the glass shattering in Vegas at to neutralize Rock and help Cody beat Cena is going to be generational.
I love Cody and he’s 100% deserving of every accomplishment right now. I do wish his actual title reign had been more interesting and he had better monsters to slay but if Cena puts him over that’ll be huge for him. My gut is that it doesn’t happen yet, though, and they ride the Cena train again for a bit and milk another buyrate out of it with a Summerslam rematch. The thing really working against Cody is that it’s not the territory days anymore, where a Roman Reigns could go away for a year or two and let someone like Cody breathe as the biggest star without overshadowing him.
But yeah, Austin helping him win and putting him over as the new guy? That would be AWESOME.
