5 stars or 5 bags of money

So now that the saga of the aussie ring size has blown over, it seems the newest drama today is a clip from Busted Open radio with Bubba Ray and Tommy Dreamer saying basically 5 star matches from one guy's opinion are meaningless, and Bubba saying he rather 5 bags of money. And as you would expect, the wrestling nerds were totally normal about it and didn't lose their collective minds attacking both guys. Which totally won't happen in the comment section for this email either.
My question is if most of the big time wrestlers don't care much for Meltzer or his ratings, why does a small subset of fans live or die by them? Like even Omega and Will joke about Dave and his over the top match ratings for their matches. Do the wrestlers appreciate it when Dave gives them 5 stars, I am sure they do. And the AEW wrestlers have to pretend to care more about it because thats their fanbase. But when you hear alot of wrestlers outside of AEW asked about Meltzer and his ratings, they don't really care what he thinks and care more if the fans go home happy or not, and how much money they made that night. Which should their mindset. And that doesn't mean they don't care if their matches are good or not, they just don't care if Meltzer and his cult thinks they are good. Because how can you really respect someone's opinion who truly thinks Kurt Angle or Daniel Bryan didn't have any 5 star matches in WWE. And judging by the WON awards and even what was nominated, that crowd has really lost the plot of what is actually good and bad, so there really isn't value to caring what they think.
This is why getting off Twitter was the best decision I ever made. You just wrote a lengthy email about how no one should care about Meltzer’s star ratings and then complained that he didn’t rate matches the same way you did. So don’t worry about it then!
Also if Bully and Booker are all about “five bags of money” then they should love Tony Khan for paying talent so much money, right? Isn’t that the point of wrestling according to them?
