Just thinking about the clusterf&** ending to Hogan v Sid at WM 8, where Sid has to kick out of the leg drop at 2 because Papa Shango missed his cue to run interference.
How on earth was it allowed to happen?
This is at a point where Vince was if not booking a year ahead then at least months in advance, and everyone backstage should have had laser focus on every single moment of the action, with the biggest star in the business involved and a huge return about to happen. It's not WCW 99 with last minute booking changes on a whim.
Was there any heat on Shango or anyone else for messing up?
I never heard of anything specifically. He certainly continued to be pushed after the match.
