Saturday Night’s (WrestleMania) Main Event

Hi Scott

Does Jey winning the rumble make the Saturday Night's Main Event match make even less sense? And suggest that plans changed between then and the Rumble?

Because surely you don't have your Rumble winner losing clean to his WrestleMania opponent a couple of weeks before the Rumble? If Gunther/Jay was the plan then there were much better ways of running it surely.

The other problem is now Jey has got to win, and one of your Mania main events is a foregone conclusion. There's no way Jey can lose again.

Or do you think there's still something afoot and things will change again?
I think now that they’ve announced it, they’ll follow through. I think the problem has more been that Gunther wasn’t a great World Champion and it doesn’t feel like a big time main event as a result. Personally I wish Gunther had been booked stronger and they didn’t do shit like jobbing him to Cody for the Saudis. Hopefully Jey will get a good run with it and they can solidify him as a top guy.
