WM8 Build-Up Question

Scott,

Best wishes to you and your family. I've been following the buildup to WM 8 on the Vault and noticed something for the first time. (And it's not about why the Hogan/Flair match got cancelled, so you can put the shot glasses away.) It's actually regarding Taker's post-SNME face turn. Now, I know it didn't air on the actual SNME broadcast, but 1-2 weeks later on the syndies (and that it was allegedly filmed at an entirely different set of tapings). But I re-watched the segment from the syndies and right before Randy and Liz make their way through the curtain, you hear the announcers (Bobby and Vince) arguing with each other in what sounds very much like a “shoot.” Basically, Bobby complains to Vince that “you cut me off the entire show” and Vince tells Heenan “this was one of your worst performances.”

Now, it's been 33 years so I can't remember if this commentary track actually made it to TV back then. Do you have any idea if it did, and, if so, why they let it in such a kayfabe-protected era? Did it get picked up in the dirt sheets? Or did it get added later to 24/7 footage and/or the Network to give wrestling geeks like us something to obsess over?
Never heard about it before now, to be honest.
