The one new WWE Production gripe

Anywhoo. Watching the Royal Rumble sunday I had a lot of pros and cons of the production in this new era of WWE, post VKM/Dunn, mostly positive. But here is my biggest that I wonder how much of the blog agrees or disagrees, as I am not a weekly watcher of the product.

Pro: The slightly elevated ramp entrance and walk-way. LOVE IT! I've been a huge fan of the WCW vintage ramp entrance and always wanted a comeback. I think the height it was at even works better as it makes the wrestlers stand out but more with the crowd, as opposed to above everyone else. I would like this for all stadium shows going forward.

Con: Of all the amazing drone shots, camera angles, long takes that this company excels at, who is behind this “looks and gazes” fetish with the wrestlers? It was bad enough at Survivor series with the Punk & Reigns sitcom in a shark cage, but man oh man towards the end was it just everyone stopping to look at everyone. I'm a Cena fan but he's gotta stop it with that look, “Oh Boy, i gee wonder what these wrestlers are gonna do in a wrestling match where everyone wrestles each other?!?”
