Jey = the Worst

Scott,
I’m sorry but I don’t get this Jey Uso decision at all.
His moves are all done better by others, especially the spear, which shouldn’t be done by someone of his size.
It’s all just an entrance and then the bell rings.
Seriously, outside of being a child or someone who only watches the product while high as a kite, is there any appeal here?
I believe they really screwed the pooch on getting newer or older fans by not going with Punk, Cena, or Reigns.
How do you even course correct here?
If he doesn’t close either night of the show, it diminishes the title and they already did this shit with Sami, where he loses to Gunther twice and then third time’s the charm.
What say you?
First up, he’s not “the worst”. He’s got a hell of an entrance and an over catchy phrase and that’s like 40% of the way there. Would he remotely be my pick for the Rumble? Nope. But for me it’s because Pepsiman is falling apart and this was realistically his last shot to win one and be at that level and I kinda wanted him to get one. Plus there were tons of other more interesting matchups than Jey v Gunther that would intrigue me more.
Is Jey even gonna end up in the main event mix? Maybe not. There’s lots of time for someone to goad him into putting his shot on the line and then screw him out of it. And then fans can have a Yeet-In or whatever, sponsored by Tucks Medicated Pads, to protest and he’ll be even more over. Win win.
