First of all, god bless the WWE Vault YouTube channel. Secondly, I’m watching the 1990 Royal Rumble which is one of our finest Rumbles. Just watching even someone like Koko B. Ware throw punches I’m wondering if I’m alone in thinking nearly everyone threw better punches back then than they do today. Early in this match, Savage, Dibiase, and Jake all have distinctive looking punches. Am I nuts or do you agree? If so, why do you think punches looked better then than now?
Koko, like all good people, learned to punch people from being in Memphis, where fans didn’t put up with fake punches. You did those fake punches one time too many and someone would wait for you outside of the waffle house in Evansville and attack you with a tire iron.
