PLEs?

Scott,

Admittedly I haven't reviewed their financial statements, but if a large %age of WWE's revenues are TV/streaming rights now, does it make sense for them to reduce the number of PLEs to a smaller number (the Big Four?, which they can continue to run as stadium shows for larger gates if they want) and load up Raw and Smackdown with more PLE-worthy main events instead? Do they still need monthly PLEs?


They definitely don’t need them for the money but from a booking perspective, without something that they can build towards, the product tends to meander. So it’s mostly a “we keep it around because it’s always been done that way” situation and there’s no point in breaking it now.
