1989 Royal Rumble Redux

Hey, Scott:

Hope the New Year is off to a great start for you and yours. With the Royal Rumble approaching, quick question:

If we knew then what we know now about Big John Studd not even making it thru the summer of 1989, who should have won that Rumble?

Hogan? But, with the Bad News/Macho double elimination spot at the end, instead?

Savage? Perhaps subtly double crossing Hogan at the end?

Someone else?

In retrospect I think Savage deserves a Rumble win on his resume so I’d go with him “accidentally” screwing over his Megapower pal for the win.
