When the babyface is the heel without even knowing it
By Scott Keith on 31 December 2024
Hiya Scott,
Hope all is well with you?
Seeing (face) CM Punk's face-to-face promo with Seth Rollins, where he took a shot at a mother (Becky) who decided to go home and spend more time with her kid was one of those situations where the face in a situation is saying something that is way more heelish than it really should be.
Another example is how Rusev was somehow the bad guy for wanting to marry Lana and Ziggler was the face for ruining their wedding. Wrestling logic be crazy, but it's why we love it.
But any other classic examples you particularly either loved, or hated?
What's the worst, most nonsensical one you can think of?
Hope you have a happy new year!
(Also, being cheeky as hell, but any chance of a plug for my crappy amateur photography BlueSky as I'd really like some more followers! https://bsky.app/profile/hewandersaround.bsky.social)
Thanks!!!
I mean, Bret Hart in 1996/1997 is pretty hard to top. The character and the real person both thought they were the good guy while increasingly alienating the fan base that supported him.
