Rebooking 24/7 garbage

Hope you had a good holidays. So due to mass amounts of boredom I’ve been rethinking some of WWE’s worst recent Vince brain farts before he was future endeavored. I think most can agree that the 24/7 title was horrid but I had an idea that might have made it intriguing. Would love to get your thoughts.

So my biggest problem with the belt (and there were many) was “why the hell would anyone want this thing?” There was no monetary reward for it, people attacked the champ at all hours, it seemed more like a punishment to hold the 24/7 title. It just seems that the whole logic there was “ooo it’s a title, I want it”

My idea was to apply some logic to fill this gap and say what if they incentivized the title? IE instead of always being available it is only periodically available… and there are rewards tied to holding it for set amounts of time… IE if you hold it for 60 days straight uninterrupted you get a world title match at the next PLE. And once that happens the title pulls a dragon ball and cannot be held again for some time. Basically you could use it as an ersatz money in the bank replacement. An example would be say Gunther wins it and absolutely obliterates anyone who comes at him for 60 days building hype and making people want to see if he pulls off the 60 days.

Again this is armchair revisionist booking and the title as it existed was still horrid and belongs in trash can it ended up in, but at least in this scenario it would explain why anyone in their right mind would want this belt, and make people care about it. I know this isn’t as fun as a Montreal question, or a lex Luger question but figured it out there… actually I’ll sweeten… instead of Gunther above, replace him with lex Luger in Montreal…
